Overview
Welcome to our campaign! We are Brasuka: 6 musicians, representing 5 different cultures, singing in 3 languages (Portuguese, English, and Spanish), all sharing a love of Brazilian music. Reminiscent of artists like Sergio Mendes and Ivan Lins, we enjoy big productions with lots of percussion, beautiful harmonies, and a variety of grooves and emotions. We write and arrange our music together in a way that represents our cultural diversity as well as our Brazilian inspiration. We are excited to finally be releasing our debut album.
The Album
The album is titled A Vida Com Paixão, which means A Life with Passion, and it includes almost all original music. There's a little something for everyone: from exciting rhythms like Brazilian samba and frevo, to groovy beats like samba reggae and maracatu to tender ballads. It is diverse world music influenced heavily by Brazilian percussion and American jazz. We have worked hard to create something joyful, welcoming, and beautiful, telling lots of different stories. We hope to share this music far and wide, and we would deeply appreciate your support.
The Campaign
To help us achieve our goals, which include CD manufacturing, video production, publicity, radio promotion, album artwork and website design, we have launched this fundraising campaign. We are offering several fun donation perks, or you could simply click the "back it" button and donate without receiving a perk. We are hoping to raise $15,000 through this endeavor.

The expanded Brasuka band includes tenor-saxophonists Drew Zaremba and Jeff Robbins as well as flautist Daniel Pardo who also helped engineer and produce the project. All three are featured soloists on the album.
