WOAH!
Thank you SO much everyone! We hit our goal in just 5 days! You can keep donating if you'd like, we'll be putting all of it towards making more eddisodes :D
Another year of Eddsworld!
Hi there! We're TurboPunch. A crew responsible for a webtoon which recently lost its creator/animator, Edd Gould.
We'd like to keep our cartoon going and use its profits to improve the quality of living for young cancer patients. Currently it'd take everything the show makes just to keep it running and we'd like the power to do more.
So we're asking for your help to keep food on the table for our crew so our show can make as much money for charity as possible. Think of it as a charitable investment instead of a one-off donation.
What do we want to do?
1) Create 4 full Eddsworld episodes (eddisodes) and 4 mini-eddisodes for the Eddsworld YouTube channel over the next year.
2) Give all profits (YouTube ad revenue + merchendise sales) to charity.
Where does your money go?
£12000 ($18,500) to the lead animator Paul ter Voorde
£6000 ($9,300) to the writer/director/producer Thomas Ridgewell
£2400 ($3700) to the sound designer Dan Pugsley
£2400 ($3700) to the music composer Todd Bryanton
£2400 ($3700) to the background artist Zach Hadel
£2000 ($3000) to voice actors Matt Hargreaves and co.
£5000 ($8000) to reward production / admininstrative costs
What happens if we get WAY too much money?
Presuming the tax-man doesn't take a huge chunk away, here's what we're we're thinking if we go massively over budget.
$50,000 - Yay! We're makin' the show as planned.
$100,000 - Woah! Double the money? Double the content! 2 years of Eddsworld comin' your way!
$150,000 - SERIOUSLY!? After the year of Eddsworld that we promissed, we'll get to work on an Eddsworld movie!
$200,000 - That's not going to happen shut up.
What happens after that?
Well hopefully after years worth of funding we'll be able to both run the show off its profits and make sizable donations to charity. If not.. We'll see you here again!
Tell me about these rewards!
Haha, okay. Well we're going to be putting together a lot of exclusive stuff just for you guys who donate. Including a custom wristband, a small poster and so on. But what's gonna be really cool is the behind the scenes documentary which will feature stuff on how we make the show, what we're actually like, the history behind Eddsworld, pretty much everything you could ever want to know. It'll be awesome!
How does money work!?
