Synopsis: This series has been created to showcase the grassroots revival of traditional methods of food preparation.
In 4-8 minute fun clips our young pregnant mother, Ruthie, and her two year old son, Mikko, will show how to lovingly create nutrient dense foods that are beneficial for growing children's bodies and brains.
Most of the techniques in this series are used in a variety of cultures around the world. Our focus is to make these techniques second nature--providing a base for creating our own individual, nutritious menus.
Once our skills develop and we become accustomed to thinking about cooking and food as our ancestors did we will delve deeper into specific cultures and their preparation rituals of their sacred fertility foods with greater understanding.

What makes Mouth of Babes different?
Mouth of Babes is created to inform young parents of the importance of nutrition for their growing children.
In this series we establish an overview of basic food preparation techniques of key items that are vitally important to pregnant mothers. We will make these easy to follow and practical. The format of the videos will be high paced, short, but informative, geared to catch the attention of young mothers from all walks of life.
Establishing these basic foods will leave room for further development-- indepth looks at various traditional societies as the series continues.
