Situation
I came to China in January 2012 to practice Kung Fu in a chinese Martial Arts Academy. After three months training with different Masters I finally found an amazing, caring and unique martial artist as a master: Master Wang.
Having grown up in a poor environment and without a father, which in China means you're worth nothing, he always had to work hard to achieve respect.This made him focus on his training from a young age and pushed him to keep going! He became a chinese Sanda Champion. After a sport accident, where he suffered a serious back injury, he couldn't follow his fighting career anymore. That's when he started to teach foreigners. For ten years he worked every day, trained people non-stop and to be able to communicate even better with his students, he learned basic English.
This year he finally managed to found his own Kung Fu school in Henan, Deng Feng, where he could train and teach, independent from any other authority, the way he always wanted. He created and environment according to his own rules and beliefs, and during the time at the academy it would not be uncommon for students to refer to themselves as brothers and sisters, because he made us feel like we all belong together.
However, because of misplaced trust in people who provided him with the wrong paperwork he started having problems with the local authorities, which are now forcing him to shut down his school. This not only means that he can't do what he loves the most, teaching, but also it means that after ten years of hard work there is nothing left for him and he has to start all over again.
By raising any amount of money, we could support this man to make his dream come true once again and to open his own Kung Fu school in a more promising part of China.
What's necessary
The more money we could raise, the better. If we were able to reach our goal of raising 15'000 Dollars, we would be able to pay for a whole new school for Master Wang, but even a small fund would be extremly helpful to his cause and would bring us one step closer to make sure that he can continue doing what he loves.
In comparison to the western world, the cost of living in China is generally lower, so even a small amount of money goes a long way.

The Impact
During my Travels in China I realized how privileged western countries are, compared to China. If one has money in China, everything will work out for him, if one is poor, he will not get any help from anyone.
To raise funds for this man, means to give someone an opportunity, that he will probably never have again without our help.
His passion is teaching,. He puts all his heart and effort in all of his students! Everybody who trained under Master Wang knows, what a kind, focused and unbelievably caring person he is! I personally trained under many different Masters, but Shifu Wang is the only one who builds a personal relationship with you within a short time and makes you feel like part of his family and therefore stands out as a unique personality!
It is our personal wish, as students of Master Wang, to make sure that he can continue his amazing work and to give others the lucky chance to experience what we did.
