The SipSmart Straw provides everyday people with an easy to use, safe and reliable tool that helps introduce the concept of breathalyzing every time you drink.  The goal is to help people make better decisions by letting them know when alcohol consumption has impaired their decision making.  The SipSmart Straw uses a breath sample to provide a pass-fail result when a preset blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level has been met.  They are small, discrete, inexpensive and can be carried with you anywhere you go. They can be ordered in various BAC levels – typically 0.08 in the United States and 0.05 in Canada.

Our Story

For the SipSmart Straw to change the way society drinks, it needs to come out with a big splash, supported by big names and players.  We need you to join us in raising awareness and funds, so that we can bring this out in a fashion that facilitates adoption by many, so that your peers are using this when they drink. 

This is a marketing challenge – and we have the connections – but need the capital to do two things:  launch a massive social campaign that tells people this technology is cool to use, and upgrade our product and manufacturing so that we can keep our costs down at the same time.

We’ve been in the alcohol awareness business through other products for 8 years.  Always offering top end –law enforcement grade -products for the general consumer.  This has helped us! The challenge has always been price and creating demand.  Now....finally....an affordable, easy to use, discreet product is available to really make the difference!

What We Need & Why..... 

Our financial goal will allow us to focus on two key issues.  

First we need to be able to bring the SipSmart Straw technology to market at a reasonable selling price to our customers.  And that takes capital to improve the technology and ready it for mass production.  

Secondly and of equal importance we need to build awareness to the consuming public about both our product...the SipSmart Straw and our mascot.  

We want everyone to become familiar with the SipSmart mascot.  Every time anywhere you see this it will remind you to "Drink with your Head".

The SipSmart Community brings all stakeholder groups together to support educating consumers on responsible drinking: beverage providers, servers, consumers, police agencies, advocates against drunk driving. 

The SipSmart Community gives people the tools – and really cool ones we might add – to know how what they drank affects them no matter where they choose to drink.  Better yet, we give everyone who joins the SipSmart Community the power to become part of the game-changing solution to eliminate drunk driving.

We believe the answer lies in educating people delivered through an affordable and accessible medium....technology – the SipSmart Straw!!
