Please help our friend Brittany!

When Brittany, a 29 year old loving wife and mother of 2 small children (Alexis age 5 and Jackson age 2) woke from emergency spinal surgery at 3am on Easter Sunday morning, the first thing she asked her husband, Jeff, was whether he had remembered to get blue string for the the kids to find their Easter baskets.

Concerned more about her children's Easter than her own wellbeing, is the type of selfless and loving person Brittany is! Even in the face of such personal tragedy, she is thinking of others. She remains in the Neuro ICU.

Brittany was in a tragic mountain biking accident on Saturday, April 7th, in which she flew over the handle bars striking head first and cracking her helmet. Three (3) vertebra were fractured, which has left her paralyzed from her breasts down.

Her husband Jeff must shortly find a one-story home and move his little family. He must do this prior to Brittany’s release from the hospital, which will hopefully be in the next 3-4 months.  Brittany's family is praying for a miracle but without it a different home will still require some additional “accessible" modifications and her husband will need to replace their car for a wheel chair accessible vehicle. They are turning to friends to help with the care of their two small children, while Jeff is spending as much time as he can with his wife as she recovers and is rehabilitated. All of this above and beyond out-of-pocket medical expenses expected to exceed 100,000 dollars!

Her absolutely devastated family describes her as their strength, the rock that grounds them and the glue that holds them together. They are absolutely heart broken.  Her husband describes her has best friend and partner in every aspect life. She supported him through school and is a part of absolutely everything decision he makes.

In the past 3 years, there’s been enough tragedy in Brittany’s personal life including the death of one of her twin sisters and her father’s continuing fight against cancer.

Brittany was an on-call volunteer for a rape crisis center Salt Lake City Utah for battered or assaulted victims. Whenever called upon regardless of the hour, Brittany would rush to the side of a victim, becomig their advocate in the hospital. And, those with depression or lonliless issues have always held a tender place in her heart. Brittany has always been willing to drop virtually everything to help them…including helping care for their children, while they worked through their challenges.

For all the time, love and support Brittany has extended to so many over the years, we are asking for help for Brittany and her family.

Please spread the word! Please help amazing women and wonderful family! We would greatly appreciate any contribution, no matter how small!  And ask you to please keep them in your prayers!

Thank you!
