Fursona Non Grata is a non profit play being done out of LA by SkyPilot Theater Company about Furries using fursuits made by our own Fandom.
The Plot
Two walks of life collide when a woman raised in a household of Furries brings her Mundane fiance home to meet the family for the first time after years of separation. Fur-larity ensues as their love is put to the test by the Furry lifestyle of her Family. Will love win out, or will Furry life just be to wild to bear?
The Playwright
Jeff Goode is the creator of Disney's AMERICAN DRAGON: JAKE LONG and the author of THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES.
A participating attendee of Califur I, as well as Rocket City FurMeet and guest of honor at Oklacon VI, FURSONA NON GRATA is Jeff's first play written for the Furry Fandom.
The Theatre Company
SkyPilot Theatre Company is a non-profit ensemble of resident playwrights, actors, directors and designers producing provocative, compelling and challenging new works for the Los Angeles theatre-going audience. Skypilot is a member of the LA Stage Alliance.
The Goal
The goal is to make a play about Furries that directly benefits the Furry Fandom itself. SkyPilot Theater wishes to use real Fursuits made by The Furry Fandom as a part of the authenticity of the production, but we need the Fandom's help to make that a reality. Fursona Non Grata's fursuits are entirely funded by the Furry Fandom! Fursona Non Grata has networked with the fursuit maker Menagerie Workshop for the construction of its main cast. All the money donated to this Indiegogo is paid to Sarah Dee of Menagerie Studios, so therefore you are funding the growth of the Furry Fandom and helping to put our best cultural work up on stage for the city of Los Angeles to see. By helping to fund this you are showing the world that our craft is worthy of a place on the stage.
