For safety there is a 3 speed limit configuration on your LED dashboard to control the max speed of your scooter.
L1 is speed: 0-10mph
L2 is speed: 0-15mph
L3 is speed: 0-20mph
Safe-start throttle and two-staged brake: A configurable anti-jerking feature on the throttle so you only take off when you mean it. The brake first cuts off the throttle function, then applies braking in the rear wheel for a safe and smooth stop. The Boltz scooter ensures your safety from the start to the end of every trip.

Risks & Challenges
There is the risk of market development and acceptation. As for market development, we can see that electric cars have finally started to gain some traction. This is largely thanks to the success of the Tesla Model S. We expect this development to continue and to see that other electric vehicles will also gain popularity over the coming decade.
As for the acceptation of the Boltz Scooter, we believe that there is a large opportunity awaiting. The public exposure that we've had always results in very positive reactions both for the design look and feel, but also for the use of materials and sustainable properties of the complete scooter.
We believe that Boltz Scooter will be a success, and going by our lean and mean efforts to date, we will be sure to mitigate any unforeseen matters.

Frequently Ask Questions
Is the cost of shipping included in my pledge?
No. Shipping needs to be added to your pledge. Please add $80 for continental U.S. shipping and $20 for shipping within Singapore and Malaysia. We estimate $140 for international shipping. We will update shipping information at the end of the campaign, however – with the $140 – it is a cap. The more we sell the lower this figure will become, it will not go up. Should the shipping cost decrease due to massive volume, we will promptly refund back the difference to your account.
What happens if I forgot to add shipping Charges when i pledge the product, how can i do so after that?
Simply Click 'Contribute Now', choose 'No perk, i just want to contribute' and add the shipping amount. We will keep track of it and promptly deliver your product. Don't worry! :)

What happens if my scooter has an issue and I need tech support?
Boltz is dedicated to providing high-quality products with superior customer support. Our tech support team is based in Singapore and we will work with our growing dealership partners to help resolve any issues you encounter after you’ve purchased our e-scooter.
What is the warranty?
With a successful campaign, we can run a full-service center with our own dedicated workshop to handle after-sales service. We offer a 1-year limited warranty for the our e-scooters to cover manufacturing defects. Electrical coverage is 6 months and extends to the battery, throttle, controller, and motor.
The following situations will not be covered by warranty:
Water damage or malfunction caused by usage of product in wet weather
Malfunction due to lack of cleaning or maintenance
Malfunction caused by unauthorized modifications, disassembling or repair
Damage or malfunctions due to improper storage
Wear and tear from regular product usage
Is the scooter water resist? Can it handle the rain?
The scooter is water-resist. We put pretty good seals in the battery compartment and the controller/dashboard. If you get caught up by the rain on the way home, it will still work. With that being said, we still recommend to avoid riding in the rain for safety reasons, mainly due to poor vision and road conditions.
Always wipe out water afterward and keep it dry to preserve the product life.
How well can the Boltz scooter handle a hill?
Yes! As shown in our video, the scooter has the power to climb! For a normal weight person, our scooter can take an uphill of up to 25 degree incline, which should be adequate for most streets/roads.
We have several test riders scooting around Singapore. They are performing just fine except some notorious uphills. In those rare routes, a rider can either walk/kickscoot a bit or take a longer detour.
Will you be providing accessories and personalized products?
Yes, we are working hard to provide an array of accessories to complement the e-scooter. Please stay tuned.
How do you charge the scooter? Does it take 220V?
Our scooter can be charged conveniently using regular wall outlets via the included external charger. The charger is CE certified, and it can take 110-240V, just like most popular consumer electronics.
