Bounce Back PH aims to build 24 homes, a basketball community, and livelihood programs for Victims of Typhoon Haiyan!
Mission: Typhoon Yolanda was a major,
globally recognized, setback for the Philippines. Tying in the Country’s
obsession with basketball, our organization believes Bounce Back Ph is a
well-suited way to raise money, reinstate people to a post-Yolanda quality of
life, and embrace the spirit of championship basketball.
Campaign Goals: Your finances will help rebuild the lives of the Haiyan survivors. You’re not just providing a home. You’re also providing a quality of life, a sense of normalcy, and inspiration to promote an attitude of bouncing back like a champion!
The proceeds from Bounce Back Ph will all be donated to Gawad Kalinga's Operation Walang Iwanan. Gawad Kalinga (which means to "give care" in Filipino) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end poverty for 5 million Filipino families by 2024. Gawad Kalinga is dedicated to its mission with the passion of not just building homes but cultivating communities with a culture of commitment, service, selflessness and solidarity to uplift their lives and become a source of inspiration to make a difference.

How This Campaign Is Different: Bounce Back Ph's mission is to bring hope from hoops. We will start a Basketball Marathon Village. This village will act as the initial model community for our platform. We are going to select an area in Leyte and build 24 houses, a basketball court, a community hall, and develop livelihood programs. We’re hopeful this concept will be duplicated once the first master plan is built, successful and providing back to the community. Basketball will be our tool of engagement, your funding will be what makes the difference in the lives of the Filipino people.

The Challenge: 112+ hours of playing basketball non-stop. Launching on March 24 and until the 28th, we will encourage Filipino youth and adults to "never stop" no matter what challenges that come their way!

Twenty-Four (24) players will be selected from thousands of hopefuls in special tryouts to represent the Philippines in breaking the world record for the longest basketball marathon game. These 24 athletes will play, eat, sleep and breathe basketball for five straight days with one goal in mind... play 112+ hours non-stop to help the victims of typhoon Haiyan. The money raised will be given to the Bounce Back Ph restoration project in addition to our crowd funding efforts.
The Typhoon and Today: Yolanda, AKA Haiyan, is estimated to have destroyed about 70 to 80 percent of structures in its path as it tore into the coastal provinces of Leyte and Samar. While millions of dollars were initially raised, the continued need for many vital services is still massive. The recovery is about sustainability at this point and for many years to come. This sustainability starts with you! “Normalcy” isn’t close to being at 90%, so much so Google even recently launched a special app to help displaced families reconnect.
