Synopsis: In 1912, in the largest civil uprising since the Civil War, 12,000 West Virginians, leaderless, took up arms against the oppressive coal mine operators.

In 2010, they will rise again.

Mac is about to have his land seized by the government. Using the statute of eminent domain granted to them by Executive Order, a regional power company is confiscating land for a controversial power project.

Mac's legal resistance through the courts is fruitless. Left with no other alternative he finds himself standing in front of a bulldozer to prevent its advance.

Events rapidly spiral out of control culminating in a violent and deadly confrontation that reveals the lengths the federal government is willing to go to maintain its grip on power.
