The Creation of HTMAST

HTMAST was initially created as a way of showcasing the talents of its creator, Maya Lynne Robinson.  As she wrote, she began to see how she could showcase the talents of other wonderful actors she wanted to work with.  HTMAST is an authentic and innovative look into the entertainment world and how one is only as big as their dreams. 

HTMAST is a 13 episode web series that follows the story of Nysa, a struggling actress, looking to find her purpose in the world, more specifically, her purpose as an artist.  She’s never had commercial success and feels the pressure of “making it”, what that means and what that looks like.

Nysa feels invisible professionally.  Personally, she is armed with Vondra, her no nonsense, ride-or-die best friend and James, her ex-boyfriend, who just so happens to live down the hall.  Presented with a "chance of lifetime" opportunity, Nysa is pushed to navigate from the life that she knows into a new, bizarre and unfamiliar world.

Nysa is played by Maya Lynne Robinson, with Shannon Foster as Vondra and Justin Chu Cary as James.

What We Need & What You Get

While we were able to shoot the first 5 episodes with our own funding, we need your help to complete principle photography for the remaining 8 episodes and post-production for what is proving to be an amazing first season. We want to present the best final product possible to tour festivals and hopefully generate enough buzz to take HTMAST to the next level, television.  In order to guarantee that kind of success, we need your financial support!
