Who I Am and My Story
I am 2 yrs old and I was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer on December 22, 2011. A large mass was found on the right side of my skull, adrenal gland, sternum, and right hip as well as various locations in my bone marrow. I began chemo therapy on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2011. My treatment will consist of 6 cycles of chemo therapy, blood transfusions, a bone marrow transplant, surgery, radiation and immuno therapy. I will be going through treatment until mid 2013. Funding will help my family financially and also assist in childhood cancer awareness. Through your support my parents can keep their business running, make our mortgage payment, car payment, cover travel expenses to and from the hospital (1 1/2 to 3 hours away from home) and pay for our essential needs.
What We Need & What You Get
We need to raise approximately $85,000. There are a lot of expenses incurred during this journey. Our home needs to be kept germ free and extra clean as I am immuno compromised due to chemo therapy, our carpet needs to be replaced to eliminate germs and bacteria, I am on a special diet so it can become costly to eat, we only have one reliable car for our family and it needs to be consistently maintained as we are constantly traveling across the state of Florida to hospitals for me to get treatment and gas is expensive, my parents are not able to really work as we spend most of our time in the hospital, this has put us in debt. We also have a mortgage, car insurance and phone bills we need to pay. In addition, I have a 10 month old brother. We have a lot of needs at this time.
The Impact
It is important to my family that we get funding, because my parents are spending a lot of their time taking care of my needs and cannot be stressed about finances. I need their help and support to beat cancer. The impact your contribution will make could possibly aide in saving my life and holding my family together during this difficult time.
