What's this about?

Hi guys, this is Claudio from Baueda Wargames ltd.

We are already producing a range of high quality 15mm wargame miniatures for many Dark Age armies, sized at "standard" 15mm and designed to be fully compatible with other top quality 15mm figures like Essex, Corvus Belli or Old Glory. Currently this range already include Viking, Norman, Carolingian Frankish and Lombard. All our packs have a lot of variation within each code -- at least 4 different poses for foot and 3 different poses for most mounted, and the poses are all entirely different. Shields and weapons are generally cast on, so the figures are ready to paint, no fiddling assembly required and no little flimsy bits coming off every time you play.

We now want to add a whole new fascinating and obscure army to this range!

After been thinking hard how to improve the chances of make this happen (let's face it, this is a ultra-specialized niche product and we all know there are not that many people that will be interested in the subject!) I figured that the best way would be to allow for people to add not only packs for this specific army, but from any of all the other figures we already do, so you can take the occasion to get the figures you want at a great price AND also help us making more new interesting and diverse products! Look below for a full list of all the packs eligible for this offer!

Why Indiegogo?

The actual model sculpting for the initial release is completed and we have already made also the master pre-production for all these. The figures you see in the images are from this master pre-production which will be used to make the production molds. We now need your help funding the actual production. Funds raised will be mainly used for making the production molds for each code, casting the figures and shipping them off to you. A small part of the sum (less than 20%) will go toward developing new figures for this range.

Please note that these last five packs (GAE4,5,6,7 and 8) are not currently included in the campaign and some are not even sculpted yet. Each one will need to be unlocked by you using development points as detailed in the Stretch Goals section!

Technical specs:

Finish: all items are supplied as unpainted plain metal castings.
Size: "standard" 15mm designed to be fully compatible with other top quality 15mm figures like Essex, Corvus Belli or Old Glory.
Material: lead free high quality alloy, extremely tough, will not break if bent and straightened back, even if you do it for many, many times!
Subjects: all packs are designed to fit a specific troop type as recognized by all major rule systems. The armies on the whole offer a complete choice of all types required.
Variety: at least 4 different poses for foot and 3 different poses for almost all mounted (except light horse that come in 2 different poses), and the poses are all entirely different, not just small variations of the same figure!
Details: very fine figures with deeply carved details that help in painting. Shields and weapons are cast on in a single piece unless otherwise specified.
Accuracy: all figures are very well researched and accurately reproduce the historic subject according to the very latest scholarly publications.
Format: all figures comes in packs of 8 foot or 4 mounted unless otherwise specified.

WHEN?

We will begin working on the production molds even before the campaign is fully funded. We expect your rewards to begin shipping two weeks after the campaign ends, on Monday the 14^th of October (Columbus Day). RISKS AND CHALLENGES:

I have been making and selling wargame models for more than ten years now, first as a part time job and then, over the last seven years as a full time job. With the help of other professional artists we have created hundreds of successful wargame products which we currently manufacture and sell, both directly and through a worldwide network of distributors and retailers. Baueda Wargames has already become a brand recognised for the quality of its products and service and we intend to continue this way!

The main risk involved in this project is that it becomes such a runaway success that will stretch our production capacity so far that there will be a few days delay in shipping your order.
