We are halfway through shooting this film about the lives of our friends in Jumla, capturing a unique moment in history, seeing the possibllity of change on the horizon. This is a culture on the cusp of transformation with education, technology and tourism all playing a role.
This film is giving this community and these women a voice. We are very priviledged to have access to this community at this facscinating moment in time.
PLEASE HELP US FINISH SHOOTING THIS FILM SO WE CAN SHARE THIS AMAZING PLACE AND PEOPLE WITH THE WORLD.
All contributions will go directly to production costs to fund our upcoming shoots in Jumla in 2013.
Whether you can donate or not, please support us by forwarding this to your friends, network and anyone who you think would be interested in our project.
We have come this far already with (relatively speaking) so little money. The next $10k is going to see us through these two shoots in 2013 (including two return flights for Sophie from America), travel and accommodation - to and in Jumla, ground transportation costs (although we have taken donkeys out of the budget now that they've built a road), paying our team on the ground in Nepal and last, but definately not least, paying our translator. We have many, many hours of footge and more to come so getting footage transcribed is a high priority.
We are so grateful to all of the people who have supported this project already - please now do us another service and help spread the word about this campaign!
