Kindly give ear to our urgent transmission concerning “Dan Zimmerman, Space Pilgrim”. It's not space travel as we know it...

We are thrilled to announce, "Dreams of Earth", the new album by Dan Zimmerman and the focus of this campaign, produced in collaboration with the Daniel Smith of Danielson and Sounds Familyre Records.

...the ship is both sturdy and well-loved. Even the sweet roar of its engine has inspired Space Pilgrim as he threads his way through asteroid belts, and on to uncharted worlds. Oh the wonders this pilgrim has to share!

What distinguishes this outing from previous albums? The space..music that reflects what is NOT heard as much as what is. Feel the compelling synergy between the voices and the instruments, as in early rock n' roll, country blues and rockabilly. The songs themselves, although they rock more than ever, are tales of reflection and search. For it is as true of Dan Zimmerman as it is of Space Pilgrim, whose story you have witnessed above, that he is at heart a seeker, a wanderer even.

As Thomas Mann said of Joseph the dreamer, "What does 'wandering' mean here?    To wander is not the same as to lose one's way. He was not lost, he was searching."

The ship's faithful trajectory to far-flung planets, however, has taken a toll. Perhaps you know of what I speak? Fuel and food resources need restocking, and the ship is in great need of repair due to the ravages of space. Most importantly, the ship's radio communication system needs significant updating for Space Pilgrim to make his next set of reports back to Earth.

Contributions made to this campaign will go toward the cost of studio sessions, studio musicians, mixing & mastering, and "Space Pilgrim" film production costs. Funds over goal will go toward promotional and touring expenses.
