After years of readings, improv battles, stand up nights and everything else we could think of, Between Us Productions is finally ready for our own fully staged performances. We have been compiling some amazing original work for a Ten Minute Play Festival from March 18-24 and then an Evening of Original One Acts in June and we're excited for what we're going to get to show you!
Co-Artisitic Directors Samantha Manas and Jasmine Brown have a commitment to nuturing the highest quality original work possible and the actors, writers, directors and other artists involved in this work are truly deserving of the spotlight. In order to make these events run smoothly and give the work the attention it deserves, however, we need funding for theater rentals, rehearsal space, insurance, costumes, props, advertising, refreshments and other promotional materials. In New York, our neccesities can get extremely expensive, particularly theater rentals, so our conservative goal is $2500, but anything you can give will be helpful.
With the help of Karl Custer, our Assistant Artistic Director, and Graydon Grund, our Associate Producer, we have been narrowing down our choices for the Ten Minute Play Festival. The plays in the Festival will be (plus 2 more TBA):
