OUR PRODUCTION PLAN
We have completed an intensive, 9 month-long prototyping process with our tailoring team to solve any durability problems and challenges we might face as we move into production. The next step is to place the order for materials and start the first production run of our new collections of Magnetie Neckties and products.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
• Celebrate the successful end of our Indiegogo campaign
• Wait for up to 20 days for funds to clear
• Week 1: Finalize design specifications with manufacturing for the Fall Collection and Magnetie Tie Rack.
• Week 2: Place sample orders
• Weeks 3-4: Receive Samples and confirm production meets design criteria and quality. Place production orders.
• Week 5: Receive production inventory, convert to finished goods, complete final inspection, and place in packaging for shipment.
• Ship! We expect to start shipping orders in December.

Can I remove the magnets or replace them?
Yes, each Reversible Magnetie has a small 1/4" opening on the edge of the tie roughly 8 inches from the tip of the tail. Remove or replace the magnets through this opening. Replacement magnets are available for order by emailing us at info@themagnetie.com.
Can I iron my Magnetie necktie?
This is not recommended. Like any silk necktie, an Iron can damage the tie. An less risky alternative is to hang the tie in the bathroom while you shower or use a professional steamer to loosen up the wrinkles.
Does the Magnets set off the security at the airport?
No, we have tested our Magnetie Neckties at the O'hare airport and they do not set off the metal detectors.
Can I dry clean my Magnetie Necktie?
Yes, but only as a last resort. Dry cleaning your necktie at the neighborhood cleaner usually ends in disappointment, mostly because they tend to over-press ties. We suggest removing the Magnets before hand.
Is it possible to see the reverse side of the necktie after tying?
No, the reversible Magnetie necktie is stitched in a way that only the chosen display side of the necktie is visible after tying.
Is wearing the Magnetie necktie hazardous to your health?
According to the World Health Organization, there are no hazardous risks associated with similar therapeutic magnets and they are recognized as generally safe for children and adults. However, if you have a Pacemaker or a Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator you should not wear a Magnetie as the magnets could cause interference with cardiac devices and pose a potential hazard. WARNING – Magnets may pose serious risks for patients with pacemakers and ICDs. Do not use if you have a pacemaker or an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
What is the size of the Magnetie?
The Magnetie neckties are the same dimensions as a standard necktie, that is 59”L x 3½”W1 x 1¼”W2.
