BLOOD FOR THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTERS

will be a live action short horror film written and directed by myself, Clint Cure, and produced by Joyce Ng that will stand by itself and screen at festivals but will also be used to arouse interest in a feature script on the same idea.

STORY

The story begins when three Asian vampires are resurrected and begin a quest for human blood to bring their demon father back to life. The only people standing in their way are Doc, a museum curator with a PHD in mythology, and Taz a bus driver from the Northern Territory.

ASIAN VAMPIRES

Unlike Western Vampires, Asian Vampires are not affected by Christian symbols or European traditions and are much harder to kill. Doc and Taz use martial arts and traditional Chinese methods to fight them in the back streets of Melbourne’s Chinatown.

CHARACTERS

TAZ - Having grown up in the outback, Taz tries to hide her Asian heritage by being as Aussie as she can. She has a license to ride, drive or fly just about anything and is handy with a whip.

DOC - Doctor Joanne Fluckinger is a blonde haired, blue eyed, woman of Chinese descent. She is a museum curator and professor in mythology by day, vampire hunter by night.

CHINESE HISTORY IN AUSTRALIA

As well as exploring the orgins of vampire mythology in Asia, the story incorporates the Chinese history of Australia and the characters own personal cultural identity.

A NEW MONSTER FOR THE CINEMA

The Vampires themselves mix traditional Asian mythologies such as Chinese hopping ghosts, Japanese fox spirit’s and South East Asian flying heads with a modern Western trend of giving vampires distinct personalities. This creates a new monster and the possibility of a new sub-genre in todays popular vampire culture.
