Money = Pop-Up Event at Harbourfront Community Centre!
![HCC: Concept Sketch Main Event – Courtyard and Performance Space HCC: Concept Sketch Main Event – Courtyard and Performance Space]()
By donating between $10 to $35, you will help us bring our project to life – a labour of love for our fellow artists, designers, activists, and citizens. More details on where the funds will go:
- Interactive art and architecture installations, including the main handmade bone installation (assembled by participants throughout the weekend)
- Large workshop space for visitors to make sculptural bones – clay will be provided free-of-charge, enough to make up to 5000+ bones!
- Panel discussions with community leaders in the arts, human rights activism, and public policy
- Performances and workshops by prominent local artists, writers and musicians
- Film series showcasing selected works discussing human rights awareness and community activism
To pull off this project, we need to raise $5000 for our operating costs:
1. $2000 will purchase enough clay to make 5000-7000 handmade bones. To put this in perspective, a $10 donation goes a long way – it purchases enough clay to make 35 bones!
2. The rest of the cost will go towards all other materials for BOTH the workshops leading up to the main event (April - May 2013), and The Centre for Peaceful Protest, itself: printing, equipment rental, location permits, workshop/event giveaways, etc.
Donate as little as $10, or up to $35 or $50 to get limited-edition, screenprinted t-shirts and totes! (We'll be revealing the revised designs soon...)
