About Us

Wynona’s House owns and operates a free-standing, 33,000 square foot building in the heart of Downtown Newark, New Jersey. It bears the distinction of being New Jersey’s first and only fully co-located child advocacy center that provides a safe and child-friendly environment in which a team of not-for-profit professionals, the NJ Division of Child Protection & Permanency (formerly DYFS), the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Newark Police, and Newark Beth Israel’s Metro Regional Child Abuse Diagnostic and Treatment Center work together under one roof to coordinate services for child victims of sexual and physical abuse.

The mission of Wynona’s House is to promote justice and healing for abused children by coordinating investigation, prosecution, treatment, and prevention services. Our vision is to create a community where children are safe, families are strong, and child victims can become children again.

Our Goal

With summer just around the corner, our goal is to send as many children to camp this year, some even for the first time, but we need your help! Together as a community, we can work together to raise enough donations to keep our children safe and healthy while promoting happy childhood memories.

What We Need

With that goal in mind, we ask you to consider joining our efforts by sponsoring a child’s camp experience, in part or in full. Last year, we succeeded in sending 44 amazing children to camp and we know that with your help we will be able to send even more this year.

The Impact

What better gift than helping a child? With your support, we will be able to provide these wonderful children with an experience that can help to begin the healing journey towards transcending their abuse.

Making a gift to Wynona’s House is easy. Wynona’s House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity and all donations to Wynona’s house are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Other Ways You Can Help

Please spread the word! Share our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and anywhere else on the web. Tell your family, friends, co-workers, or classmates about our Indiegogo project. The more individuals who know about our campaign, the more likely we will be able to achieve our goal of sending children who have been impacted by abuse to summer camp.
