My name's Ron, and I'm the author of Young Adult Paranormal Romance Silent Song. Its follow-up, Shattered Silence, is about ready to come out with the conclussion to the series and I'd like you to be part of this great project!
But... is this really going to happen?
Oh, yeah! The book is written. It has already undergone several revisions and I've booked a date with my Super Editor. The cover art is ready to go as well!
So, why do you need the money?
Well, several reasons... One of them is that this allows you to be part of the project from the get go, and it allows me to be in contact with you (which is something I love!). In doing so, we get to share some really cool perks--the icing on the cake!
Another big reason is, simply put, that getting a book out there is expensive. Getting it the attention it deserves and the PR to go with it is even more so.
$500. Isn't that a convenient sum?
Well... yes, I suppose it is! It probably looks weird because it's not the full cost of production, though. Instead of asking you to fund the whole thing, I decided to ask you to help me with the basic costs. At the moment, the project's expenses would look like this:
- 350$ towards third-party, professional editing and proofreading.
- 150$ towards cover art and promo items.
If we managed to raise more money, it'd go towards marketing and promotion. Which brings us to the real reason I chose that amount:
By asking for part of the costs, we can keep the sum small enough that there's hope of... stretch goals! With added perks. My favorite part!
Less talk, more fact: what do we get?
I've put together a list of perks for your contributions--the descriptions are in the sidebar, and in the project gallery you can find images of some products, like the bookmarks or the guitar picks.
However, imagine you want something not listed. Or a perk combination I didn't think of. Never worry! Let me know what you have in mind and we'll see if we can't work something out.

Yep! If you've read all the info, that means you're serious about supporting me so you probably want to know that I'll be updating the project's media. With videos (even showing my face, yes) and such to let you know how we go.
