*We never expected to reach our goal so quickly, as it was a minimal goal we needed to set, this park is in the need of a lot of funding please continue to donate and Thank You!

This lot which belongs to the Port Authority of NY&NJ, it is leased to the Hells Kitchen Neighborhood Association and Clinton Housing.  In the early 90's this park was renovated and with a lock and key provided by the Community you were able to volunteer and plant and sit and watch birds hense named "Bird Park".

With a great team at Cultivate HKNY they are bringing this park back to life.

The propasal is for a Community Park which other parks in the neighborhood will share the same key which you can purchase at the Community Board.  Tables and Chairs for sitting in the park during busy Midtown Lunch Breaks.  Plants, Flowers and more Greenary overall, Paving Stones with also Donated Pieces of art such as sculptures from local artists will also be placed in this park, including a reading section a bin of books that are also donated.

The article provided is from The New York Times and Teresa Mattia a long time resident of Hells Kitchen Neighborhood recently passed in September from Multiple Sclerosis in Memory of her this park will be named after her.  Other parks in the neighborhood share the same values of other notable Hells Kitchen residents (Bob's Park on 35th St. & Alice's Garden on 38th St, also Astros' Dog Run on 39th and 10th Ave.)
