The Yasuni National Park is probably the most biodiverse part in the world, but is now threaten but oil activities. See our site for information (www.amazoniaporlavida.org).

We want to maintain the Yasuni-ITT proposal to keep underground 900 million barrels, to safe the forests, to respect the rights of indigenous people living in voluntary isolation and to contribute to fight climate change. This story as been covered by major media outlets all over the world like National Geographic

But the most important is that this is a first step to a postoil Ecuador and civilisation, and to safe our Pachamama (Mother Earth). And we need your help.

Unfortunatedly, the Ecuadorean government recently announced it will be drilling in this region of the Park, depite that more than 70% or the population wants to leave oil underground.

We are in the process to collect signatures to launch  a popular referendu, which is our right under Ecuadrean Constituton, yo safe yasuni.

The young group YASunidos (www.yasunidos.org - http://yasunidosinternacional.wordpress.com/ is leading this campaign and they need your support to buy 10 computers and 10 printers in order to achieve the difficult -but not impossible task to gather 600.000 signatures from ecuadorian citizens. That's the number of signatures we need to legally launch the referendum at a national level.

The computers and print/scanners will be used to process the forms with the signatures in the main cities of the country. After 6 months, the equipments will be given as a contribution to the young activists groups in Ecuador.
