THE IDEA:
By covering a variety of story ideas from the traditional to the cutting edge or from the most local grassroots show to the furthest reaches of the globe, the show's purpose is to offer the viewers a broad exposure of this ancient and ever-growing art form.
The hosts will have expertise in the performing arts world themselves, and will use that experience to discover the most unique performers from across the globe.
Viewers will then follow as they immerse themselves to give a first hand view of how live performances continue to impact our lives in ways you may not even have dreamed.
In addition to exploring the performances, they'll delve into the rich history of some of the most transcendent performance venueswhile taking time to discover the human stories behind them. One host may visit a costume designer for an inner city ballet company, while the other is learning about a troupe in South Korea that uses theatre to teach English.
Ranging from the historical to the whimsical or from the inspirational to the technical, this unique concept is virtually endless as the story possibilities are as vast and diverse as the world itself.
WHAT WE NEED:
In order to get their crusade off the ground fast, they need to begin shooting footage late this Spring. The footage shot will then be taken and fully produced into a full-fledged pilot and sizzle reel that can be shown to major networks this Fall in hopes of future widespread distribution.
All funds raised for this project will be used as seed money for the following:
- crew
- cameras
- various gear/expendables
- travel expenses
- permits/contracts
- production/post
CURRENT PROGRESS:
So far, they've received a lot of interest from the professional community in regard to this project. A director for the show, as well as a director of photography have already been approached and are ready to hit the road once we reach full funding.
In regard to bookings, as of this date they have already been able to get confirmation from many venues and performers in the United States. Most notably, venues in Las Cruces, Las Vegas, and locally here in Los Angeles are excited and ready to particpate as soon as the cameras are ready to roll.
A BIT ABOUT US:
Fred and Kevin met 10 years ago as co-stars of a unique live stage show at a Southern California theme park. The show contained state of the art magic and theatrical special effects which required a highly secretive atmosphere backstage. This left the two of them on a virtual lock-down backstage every day. Through many hours together (and with nowhere to go) they had the opportunity to get to know one another, hone practical joking skills, and most importantly, to discuss the art of live performance and it's importance to our world culture. Now, fast forward a few years later from the backstage talks of yore. Kevin is now married with two children, runs a prop house in Orange County and has designed and provided props for theatrical shows, commercials, and trade events all over America. Fred has made an indellible mark on the theatrical community by penning and performing in his own shows which have toured internationally and received multiple awards on a myriad of different arts circuits. Now, through many coffee shop discussions they've made a pact to begin a crusade for the arts in hopes of reigniting a fire that society once held for live performers and they magic that they create.
So, how are two meager artists going to accomplish the goal of inspiring an international movement in support of the arts? They're going to empassion America and the rest of the world by using the very medium that has drawn them away in the first place. Television!

OUR NEXT STEP:
From now until the end of this campaign, Fred and Kevin will relentlessly be championing this project in order to make this dream a reality. Regardless of funds raised, they believe in the importance of this cause and will follow through in order to get the message out to our communities.
