Drew Struzan Doc Needs Completion Funds

My name is Erik P Sharkey. I have been making films since I was a child and always dreamed of being a filmmaker. I have sank every dollar I had and money I didn't have to make a Documentary titled Drew:The Man Behind The Poster about my favorite Illustrator Drew Struzan. His artwork for films such as Star Wars, Back To The Future, and Indiana Jones sparked my imagination as a child and I want to share my love for his work with the world.

Along with my partners Greg Boas and Charles Ricciardi we have been able to film amazing all new interviews with George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Michael J. fox, and Steven Spielberg to name a few. We have done this out of our own pocket with our own time. But the money has totally run out. We need your help to finish this film that will honor one of our finest Illustrators. Please help us with the completion funds we need and support truly independent filmmakers.

Film Synopsis

“Drew: The Man Behind The Poster” is a feature-length documentary film highlighting the career of poster artist Drew Struzan, whose most popular works include the “Indiana Jones,” “Back to the Future” and “Star Wars” movie posters. Telling the tale through exclusive interviews with George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Frank Darabont, Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg and many other filmmakers, artists and critics, the journey spans Drew’s early career in commercial and album cover art through his recent retirement as one of the most recognizable and influential movie poster artists of all time. 

Status of Film 

We are currently in the final stages of our sound mix. So the film has already been shot and edited. But we have totally run out of money. That is where you come in. Your generous donation would help us finish Post Production, take care of legal fees as well as promotion for the film. We are so close to the finish line but need your help.
