NEW - Stretch Targets!
As the project quickly reached it’s original goal and is still going strong we’ve put together a bunch of stretch targets for extra features. As we reach each target, all Barracks owners will get access to the new features.
$3,500 - Monsters Ahoy!
If the project reaches $3,500 then a new Monster unit type will be added to Barracks, letting you easily field organic-based monsters that don’t fit so well into the vehicle unit types.
$5,000 - Save & Reload
At $5,000 we’ll add the ability to save and reload unit cards in Barracks so that you can constantly tinker with a unit and even pass it on to other people that have Barracks.
$6,000 - Army Lists & Printing
At $6,000 we’ll add army list functionality so that you can search through your saved units, add them to an army list and print out a summary table and all the unit cards.
The Gruntz Army profile application "Barracks"
Gruntz the 15mm SCI-FI wargame has been on sale for almost a year which has been an exciting time for me as the writer and it has been helped by a community of players on-line and at conventions.
This project will kickstart our development of the Barracks application, which is a PC and Mac application for easy building and printing of your Gruntz profile cards for the game.
Your pledge to support us will provide the funds to write the application which will make creating a profile card for any models in your collection much easier.
Gruntz needs help to make the Army profile creator application.
The cost of application development is high and over the last year the sale of Gruntz rules has helped cover the costs of the original artwork and the effort that has gone into creating and supporting the rules.
To kickstart the army profile application "Barracks" I need over $2000 to help fund the development hours needed to write the application.
In the unlikely event that we don't reach the target, I plan to cover the cost of the software development. However I'm sure our pledges are interesting enough that this won't be needed!
Using the Army profile creator
When the army profile creator is complete it will be very easy to quickly design your units and print the resulting profile cards, ready to play. You can use your own photos or any JPG image to help print the design. The army profile creator will be based on the revised 1.1 version of the Gruntz rules.

Barracks and Gruntz 1.1
Barracks will work on both a Mac and on Windows, so you can use either version to suit your computer.
There are also some other interesting Perks which cover the release of the 1.1 Gruntz rules. These updated rules are tweaked slightly from the July 2011 release and Barracks will be using the updated points system, options and unit types.
