Let's empower ourselves by sharing tools, skills and workspace at the awesomely affordable DTL.
Our mission is simple: To put tools in the hands of inspired DIY makers like YOU.
$60/year is all it takes to become a member of the DTL. No additional rental costs! For the price of one small power tool, you can have access to hundreds, plus people who know how to use them.
We've secured an amazing space at 555 Santa Fe Drive, right in the Arts District of Denver, CO. Help us make this campaign a success and we can get our doors open as early as February 2015!

To help us make that happen, BUY YOUR MEMBERSHIP NOW, AND ACTIVATE IT ANY TIME BEFORE JUNE 2015.
Imagine the projects you could complete if you had affordable access to the right tools. Imagine the new projects you could start with the money you saved. Now amplify that over a whole community. That's what the DTL is ready to see. Are you ready to help?
What We Need
THE FUN STUFF: Most of your contributions will go directly towards acquiring a tool inventory that would make Bob Vila drool. Home remodel and repair, lawn and garden, woodworking, construction - you name it.
We're accumulating a wishlist based on your personal requests over at our website. We'll work hard to tailor our inventory to your collective needs!

THE OTHER STUFF: Know that with your contribution, you make it possible for the DTL to have not just an amazing inventory of tools, but also: rent, heat, water and light, non-profit application fees, insurance, legal advice, lending library software and devices, security system, and more. Thank you!
What You Get
- Memberships will be delivered as vouchers. Bring your voucher to 555 Santa Fe any time before 6/2015 to start your membership. That way you can give a membership as a gift!

- The #DTeLves will work hard to deliver your perks in time for holiday giving. The earlier you contribute, the earlier they ship, OR you can make your donation go further by scheduling a time to come pick up at 555 Santa Fe. Just let us know!
- PLEASE NOTE: Shirts will not be printed until after the campaign has ended! If you want to give a shirt as a holiday gift, we will send you a fun image to print to prove it's on its way.
The Impact
A member-supported tool library has superpowers. It will:
- Increase sustainability and reduce waste in our community
- Allow us to invest in ourselves and each other instead of WalMart
- Foster a sense of community and social responsibility in its members
- Improve our neighborhoods through community service projects
- Empower individuals to make and maintain the lives they imagine
As one of our future-members said, "Anyone who's ever looked for a screwdriver and wound up using butter knife knows that this is a pretty good idea."
Here's some more things people are saying about what the impact the DTL will have on their lives:
Check out our Gallery to see more future-members of the DTL explain why they think the DTL is such an important resource to fund.
What if we don't meet our entire goal?
Our first priority is to make sure we can provide tools for you to check out and put to use. We will very consciously spend what we do raise on an inventory that suits the needs of our members. In the event of underfunding, we will turn all of our efforts towards this goal and save efforts toward communal workspaces and workshops for a later date.
You can help us meet our goal by sharing our campaign with your community. I know this project has a ton of supporters out there, and we need your voice to reach them all. You can use the easy sharing tools below if that helps.

We just can't say enough how important your involvement is to the DTL. We will continue to express our gratitude by pouring it into every ounce of work we do for the DTL community. Thank you! XO, Sarah Steiner
Now the DTeLves will get to work on your perks!!
