Hello Indiegogo folks,

"A Clean Break" is a neo-noir short, which, I passionately produced, directed, wrote, photographed, illustrated, animated, edited, scored, and all the lesser celebrated disciplines in between. Helping me bring the film to life was a talented cast and two fantastic musicians. 

A little bit about me and my qualifiers as a filmmaker (Be sure to click on the hyperlinks!):

Most recently, in 2011 I celebrated my directorial debut animating my first film, Year Zero, an official selection of half a dozen film festivals that year, premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival.  

At 19 in a small town in Upstate NY, I wrote, produced, and stared in the indie medieval drama, Lycian, depicting the loyalties and rivalry of two royal brothers; after that a prequel, Arcadium, set at the dawn of the fictional country's civil war.

As a self-taught filmmaker, artist and musician it was a great honor when in late 2011, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences employed me to instruct a filmmaker's workshop on animation and storytelling at the 2011 Anchorage Film Festival. I was also featured in "How to Make Movies: Low-Budget / No-Budget Indie Experts Tell All".

I am, as the above title suggests, a storyteller with limited financial means. I have a day job and that supports me just enough to lead a humble, but fulfilled life producing amateur films. Most times I can cut budget corners by taking on new production hats, or just by the good fortune of having a circle of talented actor friends, or even by sucking it up and making an animated film on the ultra-economical 2nd gen Mac Mini.

So here's the good news:

Production is officially COMPLETE! 

So what's the money for then?

ALL funds that I raise here go directly to back-end costs, including promotional services, film festival fees and DVD reproductions. 

This means there's virtually no risk for you, the backer. The hard part is already done. All that's left now is getting "A Clean Break" out there!
