A Good Life: Project Summary

• Hi everyone! This is Mark Stampfli and Rudy Lotfalla. We are the creators of a new project called "A Good Life" which is a show we would like to produce for television. It has elements of both comedy and drama, so we are calling it a "scripted dramedy."
  

• I've always had a passion for creating and telling a story, and lately our vision has been to tell the stories of Stevie and Mico. It's about two guys who were roommates in college and haven't seen each other in years. They are brought together again "randomly," only to have their lives spiral out of control. We are really excited to tell their stories along with introducing the other crazy characters they meet along the way.
  

• Our goal is to raise money to shoot a half-hour pilot episode to be able to pitch the show for television or start a web series. We really appreciate any help you can give!

What We Need & What You Get

The Breakdown:

• We need to raise at least $5000 to be able to cover the production and post-production costs for the TV Show Pilot episode of "A Good Life."
  
• While we do already have a good team of people donating their time, skills, and equipment for our shoot, the money we still need will be going to:

1. Location costs: we need to be able to pay people to use the locations where we are shooting the episode.
2. Props: there are two locations specifically that we need to fully set design, and our prop list is roughly over 100 items.
   
3. Crew fees: we need to hire a guy to work the camera and another guy to record sound on set, and a hair/make-up person would be ideal.
   
4. Equipment: camera equipment, lights, and sound equipment are the main expenses.
   
5. Costumes: security guards, mental patients, and fast food employees are just some examples of costumes we will need to get.
   
6. Food & Drinks: our shoot days will vary from 6-12 hours each, so we will need to provide drinks and food for our cast and crew donating their time to our project.
   
7. Post Production: finishing the show and being able to output the final product.
   
8. Perks: DVD duplications, T-shirt making, etc...
