We need additional support in order to live stream our November 10th Amplified Voices Connections Concert and to produce an edited Concert Documentary. These two items will help us promote the message of our partner organizations to a larger audience. All proceeds go to:
Heartbeat: The Israeli Palestinian Youth Music Project- Uniting Israeli and Palestinian youth to build trust and transform conflict through the power of music.
Operation Respect- Creating respectful, safe and compassionate enviornments for children to live, learn and play.
Peacebuilding Connections- Using the arts to support cross-cultural initiatives that are creative, meaningful and fun.
ABOUT THE CONCERT
On Sunday, November 10th, at Georgetown University a collection of International musicians will hold a benefit concert for Middle East Peace. The concert will feature folk legend and peace activist Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary along with Heartbeat: The Israeli Palestinian Youth Music Project, Farah Siraj, Humayun Khan, and Bethany & Rufus. Live connections will be made during the event to the Middle East with David Broza, Muhammad Mughrabi, The Voices of Peace Choir, and the Jerusalem Youth Chorus. Andy Shallal, Owner of Busboys and Poets, will host the event.
After finally taking a break from the day-to-day hull of planning an all volunteer concert I realized we were going to fly my friends Heartbeat into D.C. from Israel and Palestine, ask Peter Yarrow to come down from NYC, as well as make live connections to the Middle East with David Broza and Muhammad Mughrabi among others AND ONLY show the event to 500 of my friends in Washington, D.C.
To not offer the event live online and in a post concert documentary would be a sad irony for an event call AMPLIFIED VOICES.
This is where you come in!!! We want to know if you can help us offer the concert live online and help us begin producing a concert documentary?
What we need? Just $5,000 dollars to make both happen. We need to pay for
At the concert- 2 Videographers, 2 Cameras, switchers, video to web stream connections. Following the concert- 2 producers, a camera, a computer to produce the documentary, and money for packaging and shipping.
All additional money will be kicked back to artists above that are helping us put on such an amazing event.
