A New Breed Of Criminal

The Sayers ‘A New Breed Of Criminal' is based on the true story of Stephen Sayers' rise from the backstreets of Newcastle's West End to the top of the criminal ladder and the authorities attempts to bring him crashing back down again.

The Sayers firm were once described by the police as a new breed of criminal. Set on Tyneside, the film follows Stephen from his humble beginnings in Elswick with his two brothers under the influence of his father, a career criminal.
The story takes the viewer on a journey from petty crime and street violence to imprisonment at an early age, and then street robberies and top level heists before the inevitable downfall.
