Thank you to all of our wowee zowee contributors. We have now reached our target!!! For those who would still like to contribute, every pound over £2250 will pay for post production: an editor and sound mixer to make sure we get the episodes to our audience in a timely fashion!
Hope
you enjoyed our teaser and that it gave you a taste of what we want to achieve!
We
are three filmmakers endeavoring to create A Quick Fortune:
an original web series, the likes of which has yet to grace your TV
or computer screen. A Quick Fortune is a 1940s black & white
screwball comedy about an heiress and a pauper scheming to win back her fortune
through a series of madcap adventures in six bite-size webisodes. Following in the footsteps of classic
screwball, A Quick Fortune will be overflowing
with zany adventures, outrageous storylines, breakneck dialogue, dizzy dames,
hapless heroes and flamboyant physical comedy: the very same elements you would
come to expect from the genre that helped launched some of the greatest comedic
moments of the golden age of cinema. We want to revive this dazzling, hilarious genre for the enjoyment of modern audiences worldwide!
Without
your help we simply aren’t able to make A Quick Fortune. By making clever script choices, donating our time and calling in some favours, we’re able to shoot AQF on a modest budget while
maintaining the utmost integrity and highest quality. The £2250 we raise (that’s $3600) will make
six webisodes: covering the cost of equipment, locations, food, a skilled
stunt coordinator for those screwball era pratfalls and appropriate costumes
& props to give it that crucial 1940’s American feel! Only then will we be able to launch the
series!
With the popularity we are confident AQF can achieve, we will use it as a platform to approach networks and producers to commission A Quick Fortune for TV, for the silver screen or a bigger online series. Not only will you help
pioneer this ground-breaking series but you will also be an integral part of
helping us reach the widest possible audience.
In return we’d like to offer you some tantalizing perks, which you can
read about on the right!
Of
course, if you’re not in a position to contribute money, spreading the word about our campaign
is just as important! Whether by twitter, facebook, email or carrier pigeon,
sharing our indiegogo page will only take a few minutes of your time. And in exchange for bringing contributors on
board we would be delighted to offer you a perk equivalent to the size of their
donation. With the click of a button, you can easily share the campaign on your favourite social
networking sites.
