Isn't it the state that has to maintain public schools? Isn't it our common interest, to give children a chance to overcome their social disadvantages? Don't we need schools that take the hands of the uneasy children, and raise them with love and care?
Well, the Hungarian govenment doesn't think so. And we have to make them change their minds.
The school children love to go to
There is a school on the outskirts of Budapest, Hungary, that takes the responsibility for those children, who don't have a cozy place in the society. May they be poor, should they suffer from ethnic discrimination, or their parents may be unable to raise them for various reasons: they are warmly welcome at Burattino.

We are launching a campaign to demonstrate how successful Burattino is at rescuing disadvantaged urban youth from the trap of deep poverty and exclusion. The campaign is also aimed at saving Burattino School from closing down. The reforms in state funding of education put the Burattino School and Children's Home in a dire financial situation.
Green Spider is a team of engaged media professionals, working on campaigns and short films to promote the work and knowledge of NGOs. We are specialised in easily digestible short web videos that transmit complicated messages to the wider public. We are cooperating with mainstrem media to publish our works and thus gather support for our partner NGOs. We are helping Burattino School to address their case in the mainstream media.

What We Need & What You Get
We are in the middle of a video campaign, with which we are introducing Burattino School, its unique methodology, its achievements, their super cool and ultra lovely children, and the dreadful situation they are now facing. We haven't had much funding so far, and now we cannot continue without your help. (Since we have to pay our bills somehow - if we don't get funded, we'll have to look for stupid irrelevant or corrupted jobs to maintain our families.)
Your dollars would pay for:
- producing a short documentary deatiling the methodology and the milieu of the school, and the financial situation the state put them in;
- shooting fund raising soundbytes with authors, actors, musicians, embassadors and other noble people who find Burattino of high importance - these would produce a financial aid for the school directly;
- translating the films to English;
- maintaining web sites where participants can stay in touch and spread the word about Burattino and schools alike;
- some cool PR for the project;
- and the shipping of great perks to you, dear supporters.
If we raise more than our initial goal, we will have money to finance all the technical expenses and human resources we are now giving into the campaign for free. And sure, we may even buy a few pairs of socks.
This picture of our programme manager might explain our situation:

We will work on the project even if we raise less than our initial goal, but we shall have to skip fund raising videos and the professional PR.
Besides the good feeling that you helped and important cause, we are glad to offer you our rewards - listed on the right!
(Eternal inner sunshine is a gratis everyone gets, even if you just share this project!)
Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time and read about our campaign. If you are unable to pledge (since you have already given all your money to Amnesty International last week, or you haven't had any anyways), but you find this campaign a lovely cause and of high importance, please share this video with your friends, collegues and family, to help us find our supporters.
