So there were these artists that liked dogs and they liked video games, and comic books, and animes, and mangas, and role play. These artists wanted a way to raise funds for the local animal shelter, The Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.

The Dorky Dogs Calendar is  going to be a compilation of 12 nerdy canine images in traditional medias created by 6 artists that is ALSO useful for writing down vet appointments and your mother's birthday. We're the helpful sort. 

The point of this campaign is to raise enough funds to print the calenders and pay the artists for their work. We will be selling the calendars online as well as at local comic book shops, doggy daycares, and grooming shops. We already have a growing list of local business owners that have expressed interest in carrying our local-grown product. :) If it goes well enough we would like to do a calendar project every year, but one step at a time!

Any funds over our $3000 goal will go towards printing extra calenders if there is a demand, if not we will donate extra funds to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.

How we will spend our funds

Everything up to $2000 goes towards printing and S&H of the calendars

Anything after $2000 up to $3200 will go towards the artists to thank them for their work.

Anything over $3000 will go to ARL.

Stacey (Skardash) Kardash:

Amanda (Archimer) Anderson

Betsy is an independent, freelance character designer and animation artist residing in Topsham, Maine. She is aiming for a studio job in teh future, but fo rnow she is content working as a fulltime toon-animal factory.
