We are a hard working team of Christians in film production. Many of us have been in the film business all our lives. We have seen the damage twisted films can do in the minds and hearts of people searching for answers and for truth. So, we've decided that the best way to share the love of God is through our work. As a result, we formed a production company called Higher Ground Films. This company will produce stories of true lives and struggles Christians face today.

Abducted to Kill is our first project. This amazing story takes you inside the heart of Christians who are keeping their faith and love alive under the most extreme circumstances. By contributing to our efforts you will help make this film possible.

We need you to get our film off the ground. Abducted to Kill is inspired by true stories and based on an award winning novel. A professional script and dynamic sizzle scene will help us carry through with our goal to release the film this year. The script is being written by Lena Nelson Dooley, award winning Christian author with over 800,000 books in print and a background in scriptwriting.

For the past year we've been giving our time and talent because we really believe this film must be produced and the stories contained within it must be told. We are looking for $94,000 to overcome our first hurdle.

THE STORY SYNOPSIS

Abducted to Kill is the award-winning romantic suspense story of Joseph’s abduction to fight and kill in the army of the Hezbollah and his determination to maintain his faith in God and save his loved ones at all costs. It is the story of his miraculous escape and harrowing journey back to safety in the United States and into the arms of his waiting fiancée.

Our purpose in creating this story is to show that God loves at all times, in all circumstances, and all people according to biblical teaching. This message will shine through in this film and maintain a biblical structure with quality production values combined, so that spiritual integrity doesn't suffer as it does with some Hollywoodian themes.

"IDOP (The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church) estimates about 200 million Christians around the world face actual persecution and 350 million more face discrimination and restrictions." That's an incredible number. This film will help dispel the misunderstanding and misinterpretation of Christian values that some films may depict.

The film's producer and story writer, Pola Muzyka, brings her experience and expertise to this project from the catacombs of Rome and Cinecitta Studios, to sound booths in London's Twickenham Studios to movie lots on Los Angeles's Paramount, Screen Gems, and Warner Bros Studios.

Porter Versfelt has spent some thirty years in motion picture production. In his words, "I am most passionate about discovering that production planning and storytelling support one another and cannot exist alone. The film's scriptwriter, Lena Nelson Dooley, has worked as director, actor, program director, scriptwriter/screenwriter, and Christian novelist precisely depicting the love and healing power of Jesus for decades. Her breathtaking books have won numerous awards and accolades.

The film's editor and collaborator, Michael E. Gorga, has worked in the film business in mostly corporate and commercial genres shooting geysers for a Finnish company, roofs of Houston's tallest building, 750 pound Siberian tigers to 12 pound babies, and the cascading of 1000 pearls.

Motivational productions gave Bradley Harter a platform to speak of God's love, kindness, and forgiveness to students of all ages in schools across America. His story of redemption is remarkable. As promotions manager of Higher Ground Films, he gets the word out to help the persecuted church and extend his ministry of Choices for Life.

Taylor Owenby was PR specialist on the feature film, Lukewarm. He is now PR manager for Abducted to Kill. In 2013, he worked as spokesperson at the Kindgomwood Christian Film Festival and sees the power of Jesus Christ in the lives of believers all over the world as associate segment producer for the Sid Roth's, It's Supernatural TV show.

As an ordained minister and media producer of Christian programming for several decades, Rev. Gene Steiner, takes a stand to provide a prayer cover for the cast and crew, biblical counseling and wisdom through discernment where needed, and to intercede for the viewers as each film is released.
