Ολα αυτά τα χρόνια έχουμε γεμίσει με εμπειρίες αλλά στις πιο σημαντικές για εμάς στιγμές συγκαταλέγονται:

• Το πρώτο live μας στο Αn Club με τους Caspian
• Η συμμετοχή μας στο International Short Film Festival στη Δράμα 
• Η συμμετοχή μας στο Andy Warhol Film Festival στην Αθήνα όπου επενδύσαμε ζωντανά μουσικά την ταινία "Εmpire"
• Η συμμετοχή μας σε μια ελληνική περιοδεία σε πέντε πόλεις (Βόλο, Γιάννενα, Λάρισα, Καρδίτσα, Τρίκαλα) μαζί με δύο εξαιρετικές μπάντες, Calf και Their Methlab.

Μέσα από όλα αυτά αλλά και γενικότερα από την έως τώρα διαδρομή μας γνωρίσαμε ένα σωρό φίλους οι οποίοι μας έδωσαν και το έναυσμα για να αντιμετωπίσουμε τα προβλήματα για τη δημιουργία του νέου μας δίσκου.

Η βοήθειά σας θα είναι ο βασικός παράγοντας για την κυκλοφορία του δίσκου

Δυστυχώς στην ελλάδα της οικονομικής κρίσης, της καταστολής και του έντονου εκφασισμού δεν έχουμε τη δυνατότητα πια, καθώς πολλοί από εμάς είναι άνεργοι, να χρηματοδοτήσουμε αυτοτελώς τη δημιουργία ενός νέου δίσκου.

Αποφασίσαμε όμως να παλέψουμε μέσα σε αυτήν την κατάσταση αδράνειας και να ζητήσουμε τη βοήθεια σας τόσο για τη διαδικασία της παραγωγής, όσο και για τη διαδικασία του τυπώματος ώστε να μπορέσουμε να δημιουργήσουμε κάτι ολοκληρωμένο, που να εκπληρώνει αυτά που θέλουμε να πετύχουμε και έχουμε σαν στόχο από έναν καινούριο δίσκο μας. 

Πιστεύουμε πως μια τέτοια κίνηση μπορεί να δώσει ένα σημαντικό μήνυμα στις τωρινές καταστάσεις όπου η πλειοψηφία των ανθρώπων δοκιμάζεται. Πιστεύουμε πως κυρίως η στήριξη από ανθρώπους που αγαπάνε και σέβονται τη μουσική στην ουσία της και στην αποεμπορευματοποιημένη μορφή της μπορεί πραγματικά να διατηρήσει τη δημιουργικότητα και την ελευθερία έκφρασης η οποία τείνει να εξαφανιστεί στη σύγχρονη κοινωνία. Θα είναι πολύ μεγάλο για εμάς το να συνεχίσουμε να κάνουμε ασυμβίβαστα αυτό στο οποίο πιστεύουμε και του οποίου δίνουμε τεράστια αξία. Για αυτό και ζητάμε την αλληλεγγύη σας.

Τονίζουμε πως στην περίπτωση που τα χρήματα δεν θα φτάσουν τον στόχο που θέσαμε, όλα τα χρήματα θα επιστραφούν σε όσους συμμετείχαν.

About the band

Adolf Plays the Jazz have nothing to do with fascism and any form of oppression in general.

We are a post-rock/shoegaze band from Athens, Greece. In our 10 years of existence we have released 4 albums, 4 EP's and a single (see discography above), all of which are freely available via our bandcamp account, and have been distributed freely to the extent we were able to.

One of the most important aspects of our music is the urge to proggress and reapproach our output. We aim for something different in every release and get inspired by anything we hear, read and perceive in general.

All those years we have given away for free more than 2000 physical copies of our albums with the exception of our latest release (Form Follows Function) which was released in digipak and sold for a minimum possible price of 2? each so that a portion of the production and manufacture cost was covered.

We haven't and won't ever consider making money our aim. For us music has always been a way of communicating and expression.

Highlights

Doing what we do has filled us with lots of memories and experiences - some important to us have been:

• Our first live perfomance, supporting Caspian

• Performing live as part of the International Short Film Festival of Drama.

• Our performance at the Andy Warhol Film Festival in Athens, Greece where we performed live to the movie "Empire"

• Touring Greece with two exceptional bands (Their Methlab, Calf) across five cities (Volos, Yannena, Larisa, Karditsa, Trikala)

All these moments left us with many friends and support, which in turn was the drive to our decision to act and try to overcome any difficulties in the creation of a new record.

Your contribution will be key to the release of this album

Unfortunately, in a country driven by crisis, oppression and political polarization we don't have the funds/resources -most of us being jobless- to fully fund ourselves a new record. Thus we decided to stand against this social inertia and ask for your help to realise that. We believe that collective support can deliver a significant message in these days of constant struggle.

With your help we can achieve producing and releasing the album in physical form. In case the funding does not succeed, all perk claims will be refunded.

We believe that support from people who care and love music in its pure and deindustrialized form is able to sustain honest creativity and great art, restoring artistic freedom often lost in modern society. On our behalf, we would be honored to be part of all that and continue doing uncompromisingly what we believe in and love.
