What will happen once Aeon Byte 2.0 is launched, in essence creating an even bigger heretical family:

The anticipated follow-up to Voices of Gnosticism. The book has been both a commercial and critical success. Two years later, it’s time to release the follow-up, bringing in print more of the greatest scholars and mystics of our era, increasing the depth of the Gnostic sensibility. The book will include many of my own writings on crystalizing Gnosticism for a contemporary audience. It will expand the message of the first book, but it can also be a standalone work. The projected release date would be September, 2013.

Free resources. This will include future ebooks and transcripts of episodes beyond the books. And also a plethora of audio and video. The Gnostic Wisdom will be available in many more platforms, reaching a larger audience. This will assist in our continual growth! This would begin to be available before the end of 2013.

A revamped, streamlined website, blog, and audio/video/article resource center. Beyond making it all an easier and richer experience, visitors will be much more involved. This will include a subscription area, potential forum, and various resources where you will know the process of each show, from beginning to end, and give me your two shekels of wisdom whenever you desire. This would certainly be executed by October, 2013.

An expansion into video and an expansion into other topical arenas, without losing the Gnostic thrust. The truth is that I get approached by factions beyond the borders of religion and occultism. Even Occupy Wall Street has contacted me to interview its leadership. With more resources, I will be able to expand into parallel subjects. And all this means newer and more varied guests to enrich your experience. There will also be mini-documentaries in the future. This would certainly begin before October, 2013.

What I need and what for to make this all a reality:

The follow-up to Voices of Gnosticism. Purchasing ISBN numbers and other licenses, basic printing fees, obtaining editing assistance, and graphic design will cost $1000.

Equipment. I’ve been running with the same loyal machines for over four years (and much of the basic software from 2006, from the early days of podcasting). But there is a new generation of Adobe Audition and Illustrator programs, among others, that will reign production with the times ($2500). These programs will go along one Titan computer and other equipment that won’t have electric tape keeping them together ($1500). Video software and gear will migrate part of the show into video interviews and mini-documentaries ($1200). Cost for all revamped technology and software will easily be a total $5200 (and that’s cutting some corners).

Advertising and promotion. For years, Aeon Byte Gnostic Radio has grown into an audience of thousands through word of mouth alone, but it can reach farther and for deeper for those who have ears to hear. As mentioned, this will include a new horizon of guests as well. An average Google Adword campaign is around $200, just to make a dent. Placing careful advertising campaigns will not dilute the program but enhance it. Cost for basic marketing. $1600.

New website and look. It’s time to overhaul all the sites. The reality is that search engines have punished the show because of fragmented content and bulkiness, a side effect of many years of growth. This also tends to confuse many visitors. By having a restructured look, creating a subscription service, building a forum, and fine tuning awkward areas, the experience will be vastly more enjoyable and interactive for you. This will include an approachable blog and resource center on Gnosticism and other heresies. Cost for subscription area and new store, as well as hiring a programmer and designer will be $4000.

Expansion. By expanding a budget, adding some extra equipment, and outsourcing production work, we can melt the Gnostic ethos with other counterculture movements. Beyond what I mentioned above, I have also been approached by various activist filmmakers who wish to create new messages from the ancient heresies. Cost will be $3000.

Exras. This reboot and overhauling will require more legal fees and training, finally making this venture a lean and effective business. There are blinds spots I need to close to get to the next level. Cost will be $3000. And course there are the taxes and fees that running this campaign demand.
In essence, this will make a more polished, professional, and pluralistic venture. Gnosis should be available to all, so please support this venture into helping more find their own Gnosis. Become and be involved in a growing heretical family and alternative media vehicle.
