“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days,
smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss
your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your
eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe,
confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the
truth, Love to complete your life.” ~ Leo F. Buscaglia
Aging in place allows our elderly loved ones to maintain a healthy
and comfortable lifestyle while remaining in their own homes or communities. It
provides them with a sense of security, warmth, independence, and freedom as well as the comfort
of remaining in familiar surroundings. The elderly; our mothers, our fathers, our grandparents - they raised us and deserve to be cared and comforted for in their "Golden Years" while in their own homes if they wish.
WHO WE ARE:
Our company "At Home
Companion Care, LLC" is an independent, licensed Health Care Service Firm in the state of New Jersey. We provide companions, CNA's and Certified Home Health Aids to assist the elderly with personal care, light housekeeping, and companionship in their private home or a facility. We also provide nursing care if needed. We are bonded, insured, and all of our caregivers must pass and extensive background check before being employed by us.

WHAT WE NEED & HOW WE WILL USE IT:
To obtain this "Accreditation", At Home Companion
Care is requesting contributions from our strongest supporters in order to achieve our ultimate goal. We need approximately $100,000.00. This will provide the
funds necessary to:
Hire a consultant 15,000 Office requirements 14,000 Staff salary (1 year) 60,000 Marketing materials 5,000 Accreditation Firm Cost 6,000
The accreditation process could take up a year to complete, with inspections, paperwork going back and forth and the times available for the firm's voting times. It also involves their staff visiting our facility and thoroughly examining all of our paperwork, policies, bookkeeping, payroll, records, etc.
*Funds not needed for this process will be donated to charity.

WHY WE ARE ASKING:
The cost of home care varies but is ultimately less than the cost of a nursing home or assisted living facility. There are several ways one can pay for home care - cash, insurance, and Medicaid. Unfortunately with the state of the economy, most families simply cannot afford to pay cash for home care and oftentimes have to rely on Medicaid. In southern New Jersey there are only a few Health Care Service Firms that can accept Medicaid for payment because most of them are not accredited. This is where we need your help! Medicaid has certain guidelines for Home Care companies to be able to collect from them for the care provided by our caregivers. One of those guidelines requires that the Home Care Company be Accredited. This is a fairly expensive process and our company simply does not have the funds to accomplish this. The process of becoming accredited involves the Home Care company being checked to make sure they have crossed all their t's and dotted all their i's. All national and state regulations must be in order. Our company must have cared for a certain amount of clients. All paper work such as financial and human resources must be in order, as well as any additional requirements by the accrediting firm.
