Ahhh! Plush Monsters!

First off, thank you for checking out my Indiegogo! This campaign is all about monsters... don't worry, they are plush and don't bite. I have been designing and creating plush for over 3 years now and love every inch of what I create. My plush are all handmade using crochet with a tiny hook and yarn. All of my plush are unique, not one is like the other. My inspiration comes from street art and the amazing colorful portraits you see on the side of buildings. I simply love color and I love unusual color combinations!

The goal of this campaign is to keep my shop going and spread more monster plush love! I am also pursuing to get my patterns into a crochet book, so funding will help to build the supplies to make all the samples needed for this project as well.

About my plush

Now, each plush is made solely by hand. I crochet each limb, head and add on's you see on all my monsters. The time it takes to complete one monster from start to finish is around 8 hours, but I tend to split up my time into days. I am very careful on how I sew my plush, I want them to be perfect from all angles. Most of the time I start out with a sketch, some color inspiration and go at it. Sometimes I choose not to use a pattern I've written, so most are very "one of a kind". I have been designing and selling my plush patterns online for over 3 years. In that time, I have also made and sold one of a kind plush to buy and love! Some have traveled across the ocean and some have been sold right here in my town.

My plush are not your average size, they are actually pocket sized! Most monsters stand around 4"-7" tall. Say what?! I love to work in small scale and I find it a challenge to create something tiny with such great detail and precision. If I have a plush in mind, I will make it my goal to follow through with the design, no matter how tedious the work ahead may be. One of my favorite pieces was a camera I made for a photographer monster. This turned out to be one of my favorite plush to date.

How are the funds used?

The funds made from this here campaign will go to supplies including:

➜ Yarn to expand my color palette

➜ Back up hooks since I tend to go through them quite fast with my tight stitching and grip, as well as more embroidery needles

➜ custom logo design for my website

➜ New business cards, packaging supplies and promotional goods such as stickers, custom tags and shipping supplies

And funds beyond my goal will be used towards advertising my plush shop and improving my plush to the max, as well as a new tablet to be able to work on the go when at craft shows!

Lets talk about the good stuff for YOU! I wanted to make the rewards awesome and doable on my part, since my plush are handmade and not by machine.
