The true story of the ongoing corruption that runs rampant in Alaska.
Alaska-based oil companies bribe politicians, engage in racketeering all in a conspiracy to rob Alaska of its oil wealth, much of it done right out in the open. They were so brazen that a girlfriend of one of the criminals had hats made with CBC on them.
I'll also delve into a murder plot, underaged sex, extortion, and con artists masquerading as lawmakers doing the bidding of their oil company bosses.

A massive investigation from from 2004 to 2010 was launched by the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, and the IRS into political corruption of nine then-current or former Republican Alaskan state lawmakers, as well as US Representative Don Young and then-US Senator, Ted Stevens.

It is important that those outside of Alaska see what is happening up here. Corruption affects all Alaskans with our daily cost of living expenses and way of life. Politically connected construction companies have driven up costs and corrupt politicians have copied and pasted laws written by lobbyists from the Lower 48 to force their ideals and scams on us.
We have a recording of oil company bagman Bill Allen engaged in a conspiracy with Conoco/Phillips Alaska president Jim Bowles.
There are FBI reports about drug use by a Senator, underage sex by the main defendant that was swept under the rug by the Anchorage police department, over $700,000 paid to a Senator's son for "work" on the Special Olympics that sounds more like extortion. A governor's spouse than ran hookers up to the oil fields and whose activities are still being covered up by the local police. An Alaska Attorney General said, "Republicans don't prosecute Republicans," regarding why there where no state charges and never will be any state charges for political criminals as long as a Sean Parnell is in office.
I want everyone outside of Alaska to know about these crimes, who was involved and who still is.

I will be interviewing politicians, undercover informants for the FBI, and local journalists that have information never revealed before. I'll also speak to a couple of members of the Corrupt Bastards Club who have agreed to be interviewed for this film.

I have to do some travelling to conduct some of these interviews. Airfare to and from Alaska is outrageous and a few of these subjects have moved out of state. One is hiding out for his life after getting multiple death threats for his testimony against some of these criminals. I will have to pay some of these people for interviews and their expenses.
I also have to account for production costs that pop up along the way.
This documentary will be less costly than most because I shot and own all of the archival footage and I will be conducting the interviews myself. I dont have to purchase footage from news sites like most documentaries do. I was there!

I was a newspaper photographer and magazine photographer in the 80's and 90's. I turned to filmmaking in 2007. I've worked on a few feature films in Alaska. This will be my first documentary.

We're going to have 100 exact replicas of the VECO CBC hats made. They'll be embroidered just like the original. I'll even add a removable evidence tag on there. How cool is that?
