Nearly half a century after the Rivian Pogrom, Kaer Morhen, old mountain keep of monster slayers called "the witchers", is attacked.

Shortly after a young renegade sorceress suspected of obtaining legendary Alzur’s Almanach flees from the Aretuza, a newly rebuilt magical school. Triss Merigold, a veteran sorceress, pursues her and during her stay at the inn she encounters famous bard Dandelion and the witcher Lambert.

We are not after money, fame or notoriety. It’s about respect and gratitude. After wondrous time spent with the novels, games and comic books, we felt that it is our duty to pay homage to the amazing work and to its creator - Andrzej Sapkowski.

The Witcher Universum has gained worldwide interest - we see fanfiction, cosplay and art. The internet overflows with fan made films inspired by CD Projekt RED games.

But this is where we are different. Our film draws from games only visually, whereas story wise, it’s based only on books.

We would like to fully appreciate the slavic spirit of witcher’s universum through music (composed by Liz Katrin), dialogues (Polish with English subtitles), real medieval sceneries, hand sewn costumes and armours/weaponry made by craftsmen of historical reconstruction teams.

OUR JOURNEY

Everything started in 2015. At the end of the year we kicked off on Polak Potrafi crowdfunding platform and started pursuing our dream.

But as the production got into full swing and the expenses soared with project getting bigger and bigger, we realized that in order to finish what we've started we are going to need more resources.

Film equipment and lighting is provided by our co-producers: Toolernia and Lighthouse.guru. Stage fighting is carried out and supervised by Polish Medieval Combat Team and professional stuntmen.

CGI is covered by creators of productions such as: sci-fi series „Legendy Polskie” and many cutscenes for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”, „Total War: Warhammer”, „WatchDogs 2” and Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV”.

Four shooting days are already completed which assumes to a quarter of the material.

WHY INDIEGOGO?

Since we started working on this project two years ago, new people and new opportunities came into view. The script had been expanded several times. We are currently aiming at a spectacular scale we weren't even dreaming about at the beginning.

However, in order to reach this goal and complete the film, we need your support. Support of fans of the Witcher. People from all over the world who fell in love with the universe created by Andrzej Sapkowski.
