Short Summary

I am Dr. Justine Marie Shuey. I am a Board Certified Sexologist and AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator with a Doctorate in Human Sexuality and a Masters in Human Sexuality Education. For years I have been helping individuals of all ages expand their knowledge around sexuality and gain confidence in their sexual expression. I present on hundreds of college campuses, medical schools, hospitals, organizations and conferences all over the United States and Canada.

I want to teach the world about healthy sexuality! Every day college students from all over the United States and Canada reach out to me to schedule sexuality education presentations on their campuses. Unfortunately, most schools are slashing budgets and many student organizations lack the funding to cover the expenses of bringing sex education programming to their campus. The goal of this campaign is to raise funding to help reduce the actual expenses (travel and supplies) of events to make sex education more accessible to college students.

Last year I launched a successful Indiegogo campaign and was able to help fund successful Sex Education events at Temple University, Georgetown University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, Haverford College, Bryn Mawr College, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, 2 different programs at Widener University one for graduate students, one for a sorority, 2 different programs at Montclair State University one for an undergraduate student organization and one joint program for Greek Life co-sponsored by a fraternity and sorority, Syracuse University for both undergraduates and graduate counseling students, presentations for medical students at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School / Rutgers Medical School, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine for the AMSA Emerging Physicians Conferences, and presentations for hundreds of college student activity leaders at conferences in Syracuse, Houston, and Iowa. Thank you so much for your support and helping me Amplify Sex Education.

What We Need & What You Get

We need funding to make more events possible. Every dollar gets us one step closer to providing Sex Education programs on college campuses. The funding will be used to cover the actual expenses (travel and supplies) to make more events possible. While the funding goal for this campaign is set to $500, anything above and beyond that goal will be put towards additional events.

The perks are listed on the side and more will be added and changed throughout the campaign.

We also give away condoms, lubricants, and other safer sex supplies at every event and raffle off awesome prizes to attendees. If your business would like to donate products or services to be given to students at events please contact info@drshuey.com to discuss these opportunities.

About Dr. Justine Marie Shuey

Hailing from the city of brotherly love, Dr. Justine Marie Shuey has always had a passion for human sexuality. She completed her Bachelors degree with a minor in Women & Gender Studies and was accepted to Widener University’s Masters in Human Sexuality Education program before heading to San Francisco to complete a Doctorate in Human Sexuality at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. Dr. Shuey is currently working towards a second doctorate degree (a Ph.D.) in Human Sexuality from Widener University.

For years Dr. Shuey has been helping individuals of all ages expand their knowledge around sexuality and gain confidence in their sexual expression. Dr. Shuey teaches college Human Sexuality courses at Temple University, Montclair State University, Middlesex County College and Montgomery County Community College. She also presents on hundreds of college campuses, medical schools, hospitals, organizations and conferences all over the United States and Canada. Dr. Shuey provides training to health care professionals and teaches medical students how to incorporate reproductive health exams and sexuality discussions into their practices in a respectful way that eases anxieties.

Recognizing that many instances of school harassment, intimidation and bullying result from anti-gay bias, Dr. Shuey began volunteering with Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network of Central New Jersey as a safe space trainer and was asked to join their Board of Directors. In this role, she trains teachers and raises awareness among students, helping to make schools safe and welcoming environments for all students.
