Introducing: Android Etch 2.0!

Hey all. Very excited to be writing this right now. I'll do my best to be brief!

I'm drastically scaling back how much I'm asking for, from $12,745, to a mere $4,200! 

Why, you ask?

I'm looking at a new laser that's just as effective, called the Full Spectrum Hobby Laser. The laser, exhaust fan, and rotary attachment cost $4,200, total!

New Perks!

Updated (again, again!): I've introduced threemore perks! The Dalek Droid, Monocle Android, and Classy Droid!

Stretch Goals!

For $4,600: I can add my laser purchase to the expedited queue, which means it'll be built in a separate queue and shipped out within days! This would be excellent because I could fulfill perks much sooner than my February estimate, and I could also take Christmas orders!

For $4,800: I can also add a tube upgrade to my laser, raising it from 40 watts to 45 watts, and adding 2-3x life, or another 3000-8000 work hours! That's pretty serious bang for the buck!

Getting My Etch On

Android Etch... Where to begin? Well, let me start with an introduction.

My name's Joshua Muñoz, and in December of 2011, I stumbled upon what would become one of my secret dreams, and something I could not forget about for the next (almost) two years: etching Google's bugdroid logo on glasses.

At first, I just did it for myself, but once I posted a picture on Google+, I knew there was both a market and a demand for this sort of thing. Being in college (at the time), I had too much on my plate to try and make this a reality, but I still never forgot about it.

Now, I've since graduated college, have a steady job, and am finally at a point where I can try and make some moves toward this goal of mine, but I can't do it without your help.

Android Etch is, to me, a labor of love, and something I desperately want to see come to fruition. I know how enthusiastic Android fans are, (I am one!) and I just want to be able to provide them with awesome, Android-branded stuff.

You, as a contributor, are the absolute lifeblood of this idea. Without your kindness and support, I'd either have to take out a small business loan (that I'd probably be paying off for a while), or save for a few years just to purchase the laser engraver I'm after.

Without you, essentially, my idea is just that. An idea.

If I don't reach my goal, I'm taking the money I received and depositing it directly into a high-yield savings account, where it'll accumulate interest faster than a standard savings account, and where I'll continue to put money until I've got the funds I need.

I won't touch it, I won't waste it, and I certainly won't spend it on anything unrelated to getting Android Etch started.

The Impact

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I can't do this without you. Anything you can give puts me that much closer to realizing a dream of mine, and for that, I can't thank you enough.
