Anger of the dead – the plot

Alice and Nicholas survived an epidemic that ravaged the world, now only inhabited by the undead. But the nightmare is not over: the rumbling of a motorcycle breaks the silence and seems to be approaching them. Maybe another survivor that will bring them safe? Or the most dangerous predator, which will be hard to flee from?

A series of events and twists among the spoils of the devastation will force them to face the ghosts of their past, while the threat of zombies hungry for human flesh hides behind every corner.

Francesco Picone – writer / producer / director

After having attended the film school, he starts working for television. In 2012 he writes, directs and produces the short horror movie I’m dead, having great success with critics and audience. Participates in over sixty international film festivals and wins ten awards.

Alex Lucchesi – actor

Born in 1974, he’s well-known in indie film industry for his performances ranging from comedy to the role of the real bad ass made.

Protagonist of several short films including the award-winning horror Last blood, Alex finds his consecration with the starring role of Igor in the horror feature Eaters, that gave him international fame.

He then tried his hand in the dual role of director and performer in the feature film spaghetti western-style Quello sporco sacco di soldi.

Carlo Diamantini – special makeup artist

Expert in the field of special effects makeup for cinema, theater and television, with over twenty years of experience on prestigious movie sets both in Italy and abroad. Thanks to his professionalism and competence, he contributed to several movies, features, TV shows, music videos and advertisings.

Riccardo Iacono – composer

Author of soundtracks for several short films and two feature films, jingles and music for advertising campaigns, documentaries and TV spots. Keyboard player of the epic band Domine which made five albums, repeatedly on the music charts. He performed at major European festivals (Heineken Jamming Festival, Wacken Open Air) and as a big bands supporter (Iron Maiden, Dream Theather, Judas Priest).

When will filming be completed?

We expect to make Anger of the dead available by the end of October 2013, to give a copy to our supporters and for film festivals.

How can I contribute to the project Anger of the dead? 

You are the key part of this project: the funds that you’ll make available will be entirely invested for the production. There won’t be gains from the staff, being a non-profit initiative. Contributing to the film, you will receive a prize (in proportion to the donation, as described in the list on the right) and will make Anger of the dead feasible: without your contribution the short film cannot be finished.

You can do much even without sending money: support our campaign on social networks. Give us a hand to spread the word, link the campaign on Facebook or Twitter: the more we are, the closer the target gets.

This trailer is just a foretaste, we will make Alice and Nicholas crazy: they will doubt of themselves, will come face to face with terrifying beings (and I assure you that our make-up artist knows how to do!). Oh, the same story of zombies – you may say. You are mistaken. Do you want to see blood? We have canisters of it. Do you want a surly protagonist? We have the king of barbarism. Do you want to jump on the chair? Anchor well, because you will bounce! And do not assume anything, nothing is as it seems...

Anger of the dead – la trama

Alice e Nicholas sono sopravvissuti ad un’epidemia che ha devastato il mondo, ormai abitato solo da non-morti. Ma l’incubo non è affatto finito: il rombo di una moto spezza il silenzio e pare che si stia avvicinando verso di loro. Sarà forse un altro sopravvissuto che li porterà al sicuro? O sarà lui il predatore più pericoloso, da cui sarà difficile trovare scampo?

Un susseguirsi di eventi e colpi di scena fra le spoglie della devastazione li costringerà a fronteggiare i fantasmi del loro passato, mentre dietro ogni angolo si cela la minaccia di zombie famelici di carne umana.

Dopo aver frequentato la scuola di cinema, inizia a lavorare per la televisione. Nel 2012 scrive, dirige e produce il cortometraggio horror Io sono morta, ed è subito successo di critica e pubblico. Partecipa a oltre sessanta festival internazionali e vince ben dieci premi.

Prevediamo di rendere disponibile Anger of the dead entro la fine di ottobre 2013 per donare una copia ai nostri sostenitori e per i festival cinematografici.

Voi siete la parte fondamentale di questo progetto: i fondi che ci metterete a disposizione verranno investiti interamente per la produzione. Non ci saranno guadagni da parte dello staff, essendo un’iniziativa no-profit.
