Budget Goals and Shooting Locations:
-
$??? – Level 0 – In the event I don’t reach the Level 1 budget goal, I will film the documentary with whatever equipment I have on hand visiting only local Springfield area events and conventions and interviewing persons of interest nearby and online.
-
$3,000 – Level 1 – Like Level 0, I still would not have a travel budget, but I could purchase the needed Equipment to film the documentary in HD. This will include an HD DSLR Camera, Sound equipment, Lighting equipment, data storage, and other accessories necessary for a professional quality film.
-
$4,900 – Level 2 – At this level, I would have the equipment plus the travel budget to visit AnthroCon, the worlds largest and most attended Anthropomorphic convention. I can interview talented celebrities and fans from all over the globe all in one convenient spot. I am personally in contact with Dr. Samuel Conway (Uncle Kage) to ensure a top-quality film shoot there! (Anthrocon June 14-16)
-
$6,800 – Level 3 – Florida is an important location, as I would visit Full Sail University and speak to former Disney animators and upcoming new animators. Walt Disney World Imagineering would also be a point of interest along with Megaplex, a convention devoted to puppetry, and other anthro performance art. (Megaplex July 26-28)
-
$8,600 – Level 4 – Atlanta would be added to my shooting locations, visiting the Jim Henson exhibit at The Center for Puppetry Arts. I would also be there for FWA, an exceptionally large gathering for anthro fans, artists, performers, and people of interest. (FWA March 15-17)
-
$10,500 – Level 5 – North California, home to the Pixar animation studios is a key destination for me to get interviews with animators and other inspired artists. I will also make my way to San Jose for Further Confusion, one of the more original and interesting of the Anthro conventions to interview its colorful attendees. (Further Confusion January 18-20)
-
$12,000 – Level 6 – This is my target goal, allowing me to reach the full amount will give me the opportunity to visit Los Angeles California. It's home to the best film and animation studios in the country. I can talk to Hollywood geniouses and also visit the original Disneyland to talk to legends of imagineering.
- $12,000+ - Level ? - More is always better, giving me a better opportunity to expand the project and add more locations.
Please note that the $12,000 budget and above goals have indiegogo/paypal/credit fees factored in, and do not include paychecks for the work involved. This budget was designed solely to accommodate equipment and travel expenses. The goal of this project is not to make money, but to make an inspiring film and gain priceless experience in the process.
Also note that location priorities may be subject to change until VIP Status level (or higher) funders have locked in locations for meeting with me. I am not responsible for conventions/shooting-locations that are canceled due to circumstances beyond my control.
