Ari and Emma: The Sketch Show
Ariana Seigel and Emma Tattenbaum-Fine are a critically acclaimed sketch comedy duo (and also best friends!) Their unique brand of comedy has been featured on Jezebel, NYMag, and LOGOtv. They were an official selection at the 2011 LA Comedy Festival, and most recently collaborated with Amy Poehler's "Smart Girls at the Party."
Our newest project is a full season, 16-episode sketch show, launching online this spring, and produced by Shoebox Story Productions. As we've done in the past, we're looking to bring you good old fashioned Monty Python-style sketch comedy, except female, Jewish, and not British.
With your generous contribution and our tremendous capacity for bizarre and wondrous creations, we will take you on a weekly ride of laughter and ridiculousness.
What We Need
For this project, we’re hoping to raise $10,000, a goal that will allow us to galvanize our fanbase with a full season's worth of videos at the high production value for which we're known.
With your help, the money we raise will be used to:
- Rent film equipment
- Pay our amazing production team/crew
- Cover transportation costs and meals for our team
The Impact
Our goal is to turn our sketch show into a TV pilot, pitched to the likes of MTV, IFC, or Comedy Central. In the meantime, we aim to attract sponsorship for our existing channel, which would allow us to make producing online content our full-time job.
Taking what we learned from our corporate work as showrunners for DIGS Channel, one of YouTube/Google's "100 Original Channels" - this campaign is the next step for us in growing our fanbase and producing our own brand of comedy.
We feel inspired by all the fantastic female-driven comedy both on TV and online, but have noticed a lack of women in the specific realm of sketch comedy, a void we'd love to fill... with your help!
