If we valued and lived the feminine aspect of of ourselves...would that bring balance back to life?
Background
Most people would agree that our culture is hardly
nourishing. We are busy people… looking externally for meaning in what we own or
what we do. We rush from experience to experience hoping to get a sense of
communion, but it never seems to last.
It seems we have forgotten about the sacred,
forgotten the importance of listening and to value the qualities of compassion,
gratitude, generosity and acceptance which are feminine capacities —things that
come from the inner aspect of life, our relationship to Self— which provide
connection, sustenance and meaning. This disconnection has had a great impact
on us all and is reflected in the way we treat each other, the earth and other
beings.
Why am I
doing this?
I felt deeply compelled to understand the root of this problem --something that
was BOTH inside of me and also reflected in the culture -- so I could somehow
help restore balance to life. There are many dedicated people trying to
fix the problems externally, but it was clear to me the best place for me to
start was inside myself because I am the problem, the microcosm of the
macrocosm. So I set out on a journey to experience, reclaim, value and
live the feminine aspect of being human and make this film in the process.
I ask questions of some very wise people to discover what the feminine really
is and get a sense of how they live the feminine in proper relationship to
their masculine. They graciously provide insight and wise words about the human
journey toward wholeness.
Intention. This project intends to empower and inspire people
to connect to and live from their deepest knowing, a process that I believe is
important for the survival of our planet.
What you
will be supporting. We have already
shot most of the film but your participation would support post-production –
editing, creation of an original soundtrack, shooting of imagery footage and
include many more interview outtakes on the website. In addition, we could
enter it into more film festivals and host a launch event...Yes, all that! And
it is tax deductible too...
Our gifts to you
One of the gifts we are offering is both something for you and something for
the future -- a variety of organic heirloom seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom
Seed Company. These seeds are open-pollinated for genetic diversity and greater
food source stability. You can enjoy the flowers and the veggies and support
seed robustness and a healthy eco-system as well! We also have a many other
offerings including a book called "The Return of the Feminine and the
World Soul", by Sufi teacher and author Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee.
Please consider supporting this project for it shines
the light on an issue that underpins our social and environmental problems and
shows us that the path to a balanced future is something to be discovered
within….
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
