An introduction.
Over a year ago now, I decided to ask all of the artists involved in The Places Series if they would be interested in a new remix project. The brief to them was simple, take an existing Places Series track and re-imagine it, make it your own, find your strangely isolated place.
What started as a small idea has grown into an amazing selection of music and hopefully the fulfilment of a lifelong dream for many of us - we're now looking to press the record to vinyl, accompanied by a poster, tshirt and a hand-made custom CDr.
Today, this project takes a giant-leap towards becoming a reality as we launch this indiegogo campaign to help fund the vinyl press. We are trying to raise $5500 to cover the costs of producing the vinyl and in return, anybody who contributes has the chance to get a copy. It will be a double transparent vinyl, mastered by the legendary Rafael Anton Irisarri (Ghostly/The Sight Below) and just 250 will be pressed (by the brilliant Furnace MFG)
I've also been lucky enough to have Kevin Bryce create some amazing double CDr cases to be a part of the release. It's taken Kevin quite a bit of effort to make these, and only ten will be produced so be quick if you want one!

Help me choose the vinyl tracklist.
18 tracks aren't going to fit on a double vinyl. Every artist has worked hard to get this far, so to be fair we want you to decide which tracks make it on to the vinyl edition. Ideally we end up with 8 on the vinyl, but ALL tracks will be included in the HQ downloads and on the double CDr.

Why ASIP needs your support:
ASIP has been a non-profit music community, releasing exclusive music and mixes for free for nearly five years. Countless hours, a lot of my own money, and some generous donations from listeners have been invested in that time and I’ve loved every minute of it.
The support and community which has grown out of it has been amazingly gratifying, however pressing a vinyl for the first time is a risky business.
Indiegogo is a way for us to minimise the pitfalls of a first press and give those who respect and enjoy the music something to cherish and keep forever - ASIP's very first physical release.
Regardless of how much is made, everything will be invested back into ASIP and hopefully, release #2.
What we need to make it happen:
We have the music but we want to bring it to you in the very best format. Basically we need the money to master, and press a high quality double transparent vinyl record that's worth your time and effort to support, listen and cherish as part of your collection.
- Mastering for over 2 hours of music by the legendary Rafael Anton Irisaari
- Double transparent vinyl press & packaging
- A3 Poster
- Uncharted tshirt
- The boring stuff like tax, indiegogo fees, postage/shipping.
This amounts to around $5,500. If we happen to surpass this target (and we will if all of the vinyl sells), funds will be invested into the next ASIP project.
What's on offer if you help contribute:
Any contribution is a big help in making this dream come true, but for any type of contribution you make, i've tried to create a good return for your generosity and keep prices as low as possible.
$5 will get you a big thank-you on the vinyl artwork
$15 will get you a thank-you and a HQ download of the full Uncharted compilation - 18 tracks, over two-hours of music.
$20 will get you the above, as well as an exclusive surprise MP3 package prepared by the artists involved, featuring new (even some unreleased) music.
$40 will get you all of the above, and the limited edition double transparent vinyl including an A3 poster.
$60 will get you all of the above, the vinyl plus a rather snazzy Uncharted artwork tshirt.
$100 will get you the vinyl, poster, downloads, plus a custom hand-made double CDr.
Or if vinyl isn't your thing, for $60 you can get the custom CDr on it's own, a thank you, HQ downloads and the surprise MP3 package. The CDr + case is just one of ten available - not even I will be getting one!
The postage.
Postage to the USA is included in the prices you see. However, International postage from the USA has rocketed in price, so I apologise for the high-postage rates outside of the USA. I've done my best to keep this to a minimum and actually stand to lose money on postage alone. If you have to pay the extra postage, then I promise to buy you a beer or two should we ever meet in person.
