BAD MEDICINE is a psychological horror film in the same vein as The Twilight Zone and Hammer Horror Movies. The story takes place in a modern day psychiatric unit where a group therapy session is being held by the enigmatic therapist Dr Slade. As each person tells their story Dr Slade (Barbie Wilde) captures it on her voice recorder ready to decipher what it is that keeps each person trapped in their own psyche in order for her to save them. At least, that is what she tells her staff ...

Where will the funds go?
We know that people work hard for their
money and need very good reasons to part with it. This is not a venture that intends to be made
on the backs of others. We can offer an assurance that the producers of BAD
MEDICINE have already made considerable financial investment towards making
sure the movie is a quality product of which everyone can be proud. What’s
more, we want the movie to hold its own in a very crowded market place. So what will happen to the money donated to
the project? Below is a breakdown of where the total funds will be allocated:
1. £5, 000 – Cast &
Crew Fees – Many of the talented people working on this project are doing so because they
believe we have a quality script and the experience to make a great looking,
truly scary movie. All are working for
below industry rates based on this belief. However we feel not to reward their work at
all is to demean their skills and considerable talents. As such £5,000 of the budget will pay for the
actors, the camera and sound crew, as well as feeding and housing them for a
shoot that will go on for a considerable time.
2. £20,000 - Visual Make
Up Effects – Because BAD MEDCINE plans on using
practical creature FX then this will take up a fair chunk of the budget. In
this age of CGI practical make up effects are highly specialist but we feel ,
to remain true to the scope of the project, they are the only way to produce
the kind of movie that will leave theatre-goers not only amazed but absolutely
terrified.
3. £10, 000 – Post
Production – Once the movie is shot then it
will need to be edited and sound mixed. Funds will be used to hire professional
facilities so we can make sure the film not only looks good but sounds good
too! Funds will also be allocated to format high quality prints so that BAD
MEDCINE can be authentically presented in cinemas and assist in their seamless
transfer to DVD and Blu-Ray.
