Battle of the Sexes Show is a distinctive yet interactive social event for patrons to network and participate in lively discussions surrounding the topics of love, marriage, sexuality, dating, and relationships.
Our History
In 2011 after hosting several episodes of my blogtalk radio show called “Menage A Talks” I decided that “sexy and intellectual” conversion should not only be restricted to online radio. I had a strong desire to bring young urban professional men and women together to defy stereotypes and learn more about each other in a fun, non-judgmental way.
Our first show was in September of 2011 in New York City, I hosted and our panel consisted of Lincoln Anthony Blades, Angielala & Slim Jackson. I knew very little about planning events let alone one in another city. I lost a lot of money and had some chaotic moments but it was a success based on the fact that everyone who attended had an amazing time.
Little did I know that this leap of faith would lead to two successful shows in my hometown of Toronto accompanied by demand from audiences internationally to bring Battle of The Sexes to their cities.
Our Mission
In 2013 we set out to bring Battle of The Sexes Show from Toronto to FIVE US cities: Oakland, Atlanta, Washington D.C, New York City and Los Angeles.
Up until this moment I've backed this project with every penny that I've earned. I have the moral support of my panel members, vendors and loved ones however financing a 5-city tour is a task that takes more than just the contents of my flimsy wallet to accomplish.
Our Purpose
My dream is much bigger than me, since the show’s birth in 2011 many small businesses have had an outlet to promote their products and services. Our panelists have gone on to receive more speaking opportunities, win awards and publish their own books.
Most importantly our guests have raved about the quality men and women who attend the events (aka eye candy) ;)
We must be doing something right
Please help us raise $10,000 to jump start the 2013 Battle of The Sexes Tour. The more money we raise the more cities we can bring Battle of The Sexes to in 2013. An average of $2000 will go towards the budget of each city’s show.
